  3. Cheer's John, Sorry about the pic, will try and get it better, it was a good stalk John, i glassed them for 40mins 2 Bucks and 3 Does, and one was clean, spotted 4 Bucks this morning only one clean, Does everywhere i had to take the shot approx 150yards, because he was at the tail end of the group and in no great hurry to catch up with the main group, and i did not want to get winded by them as they were only 30yards from me, making there way up along the Deer Fence he was shot off the sticks in the boiler room, and dropped i would say 5yards from where he was shot, i

  5. My Penny's worth, A Life for some animal's is not alot of time, and should it be a Deer, Fox, Rabbit's they should all be treated with the same respect because they're like us and do feel pain when inflicted by us, i control Foxes on my local estate but also have ground where i am not allowed to shoot them as they help deal with Rabbit's and Vole problem's, i had an old uncle once said to me the Fox is just the same as us every where he go's he get's chased or hunted, if he is not causing any damage dont shoot him just because it's a "Fox", when i was a lad i got ch

  8. Hi Clint, I only shoot approx 30 Deer a year, i shoot on a private estate and manage the Roe Deer on it, i take 15 a year off it, and i also have some farms where i shoot and get approx 15 Roes from them + i take care of the Foxes & Rabbits & Vermin, all my ground is only 5 mins from my house, all the best for the coming season to you & your family, Wullie.

  9. Clint i have a Browning A-Bolt in .270 and dont find any problem when closing the bolt when chambering a round, you can remove the bolt when on opening up the chamber put pressure on the small long plate[2"long] at the opposite side of the of the bolt handle just above the trigger housing this releases the bolt, give the bolt and runner a clean out and try it again, best of luck, Wullie

  12. Cheer's for the reply John, dont know anyone near that has night vision but will give the PIR Sensor a go near the bait, as for calling them in the local lads have them spooked shitless and for cutting the fences everytime i see them on the estate ie 4 guys with 6 dogs no leads, i call and report it to the Police and they make a note of it, last week when i reported the lads to the Police, the Police asked me "what do you want us to do" then i call the Animal Welfare Officer in the Police and he makes a report, once they have had so many call's they can do something about it[joke] i have bee
  13. Well done John good read as usual mate they wont be bothering any lamb's the stork dropped off the lamb's over here about 1 month ago, shot 5 Charlie's over the last few week's, but still got a few about that the local lads have been chasing after with there dogs they are lamp shy and as soon as they see you there off like a Grand National Winner will have to do a bit of feeding to get them having problems with a bit of ground where the local lads keep cutting the Deer Fence to let there dogs in so cannot spend as much time on Charlie as i would like, but hey these things are sent
  14. The estate & ground where i shoot John, they are still in Velvet and usually clean mid April, we seem to be a bit later up here, in the past usually let Bucks go because they are still in Velvet, even although they are in season

  17. Introduce youself[sell yourself] and if you have any shooting permission near by, ask him if he knows Joe Bloggs down the road as you shoot there, if you have any qualifications DSC 1&2 ect just have a chat and let him know what kind of person you are, and your willing to do the odd job around the farm just to help if needed, ask him if he has any problems with Vermin on his land? ie Foxes, Rabbits ect and go in slowly dont ask about Deer right away, until you get to know the Farmer, because he might like to see them walking around, not everybody likes to see them getting shot, and if you
