    I unscrew the socket and put a ball of tape around the wire near the solder..then srew it back together the tape will act like a kind of plug and stop the soldered wire from being pulled ..

    I have seen plenty of bitches spayed Gareth and it does not effect there working ability one bit..the weight issue is down to the owner's feed managment...i have only seen one dog castrated and that also never effected the working ability..but if you get the bitch done you won't need to bother getting the dog done..
