If a head case wanted a gun it wouldn't take much to travel to Manchester Birmingham London Nottingham to buy one......legal or illegal he/she could still get one Also when granted a shotgun a feo comes to you home to meet you and have a chat and get to no you....obviously if guns were legalised it would be more intense as in back ground check....training....annual check ups and so on ......
-
Owning a home defence weapon should be a privilege not a right....I think they should be granted the same as a shotgun licence......if your a law abiding citizen then you should be granted one.....if your the local drug deal who just got out jail for robbing an old lady or have a high violence record then it's simple you don't get one........

Some of them were. Would so much property have been damaged if British citizens were allowed to legally defend themselves, meeting force with force? and thats my point exactly,we have cops for that. its the uk mate not f*****g dodge city lol Depends we're you live mate.....the police round are way are less than useless.......if the robbers round are way were to rob a house they could ring the police them selfs and still have a good 15 min it's to empty all my belongings from my house

Had some fun chasing them little tree rats round in woods......carnt wait get my lad out when he's old enought(safe enought) to use a 410 ...Svizzera basing is just as fun for me as shooting phesants -
I'd vote to be able to use a gun as self defense but only home defence so that the gun is only aloud at home/inside the house not in the back or front garden...if someone breaks into your home then there fully prepared to hurt you or kill you for your items in your house and I believe that you should be able to arm your self to defend your self but if the burglar tried to flee when I gave thm a verbal warning that I was armed then I'd let them flee....I wouldn't chase them out on to the front emptying every bullet in the gun while I chased them like a crazed American would lol.

Comparing mink and a pit bull is just insane........ On the other thread about a mink could kill a pitt is just ridiculous I admire what you have done with the mink but at the end of the day they ain't nothing on well bred terrier and defo nothing on a well bred Pitt.......I don't no about the ones over in the USA but the ones in the British isles ....there isn't a mink alive what will stand up to a Pitt ....carry on with your mink mate I wish u all the best but get your head out of your arse And as for saying that a game terrier what takes game there own weight are an exceptio

Ferel Cats With A .22Lr Or 12G
bullx100% replied to shropshire dan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I think for the OPs sake we need to be very clear what we're talking about here, Feral cats are the only feline species that can be trapped and killed on a general license and you need to be damn sure they are feral and not someone else's property as with a cat, regardless of where it is and what it may be killing is still owned by someone and as a result it is an offence to destroy it. There is no law, unlike dogs, for domestic cats worrying or killing stock. As for dispatching them in a cage trap, always preferred the .410 with a 2" shell at point blank. Reduces the ricochet risk t -

Ferel Cats With A .22Lr Or 12G
bullx100% replied to shropshire dan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
is it illegal to trap cats in a built up residential area but ok to do it on farm land due to protection of game birds? -
Twice the price but tbh you'd have to be shooting a lot for it to make any difference. The only people I know who go through huge amounts of ammo are target shooters. For most sporting shooters a walk around is 3 or 4 rabbits so that's a £1 to £1.20 for the walk around. Hardly pricey! Even a good morning of dedicated shooting might be 20 rabbits. With a HMR that's less £7 for the morning. Still cheap for a a full morning's sport. I think what you buy is going to depend more on: 1. Noise and how much of an issue it is 2. Range On noise, the .22 with subs is all but completel
