  1. I have been putting my old hunting photos on disc, here are a couple.
  2. Here are some Jrts that I have owned and worked, past and present.
  3. I have a 16" Jrt bitch, she gets most places, she has been stuck a few times though. She is K. Gould x Barry Jones lines.
  4. I feed my yard dogs on flesh, £3 a week to fill my freezer. I use Wagg Worker for the house dogs, £10 for 17kg. Netto have an offer o at the minute, £8 for 15kg, Worker Complete. All my dogs love it.
  5. Hi there, here is a snap of two of my Black Uns, they are nine and ten inches respectively.
  6. Here is a photo of a six month old pup I kept back from a litter, she is nineteen and a half inches and thirtyeight pounds in weight. She 3was one of two that was kept back until this age because of some good advice I got off this site, thank you again FELLOW LURCHER ENTHUSIASTS. I have some photos of the bitch I kept for myself but I cannot upload them, this bitch has gone to her new home.
  7. Hi tere, I use shredded paper for my pups. I use pine shavings for my yard dogs, this has two advantages. One, it smells nice and keeps flees away, and two, it is easy to clean up.
  8. You wonder why you are getting all sports of bad press about hunting. No RESPECT the new breed of hunter.
  9. Yes mate, I bred him myself. He is out of a Gould bred dog back to a Sealyham Russell type, I suppose you would call it "Old School Breeding".
  10. Yes mate, he is just a fair all rounder. He doesn't like large earths though. I can only tell the truth.
  11. Cheers mate, if things work out I might put a Working Whippet dog to the racy bitch, we will see. Good Luck.
  12. Hi there, I had a good friend who worked a first cross OES Greyhound in the early seventies and he was a very good fox dog. Also I think Plummer wrote about them in one of his books. I do believe they are still worked in Scotland. Good luck.
  13. Here are a couple of snaps of the Red Nosed JRT, I am waiting for the sarcastic comments.
  14. Hi there People, here's a question for all you intelligent Terrier owning people. I have a Working Jrt, which I bred myself. He is out of a Gould bred dog and a Sealyham x Russell bitch. He has a red nose and red eyes. I asked a very knowlegeable dog man the very same question and he said it came from an infusion of spaniel somewhere down the line. With the geatest respect in the world, obviously I doubted this observation. So what are your thoughts people?
  15. please show them a hole they look well up for t mate It's what's in these holes up here that bothers me, showing them holes is not the problem. If there is a Hunting God they will get their chance soon, some people say they are too small, some people say they are the ideal fox dog. I would not put the bitch to an angry small vixen though. I have seen the BEST medium sized fox dog come away from one of these vulpine pieces of dynomite. When I first started hunting in the early seventies, I had the honour of hunting with a Legend called Eddie "Coed" Roberts. This man had more permission than
  16. Hi here are a couple of snaps of the two I kept out of the last litter, one has turned out very racey, she was the runt and the other one is more staffie like.
  17. I have a photo somewhere of a famous dog called "Polo", I will try and sort it out. There was a local lad who bought a small Sealyham or Sealyham/Russell from a Pest Controller from a guy in the Conwy area of North Wales in the early seventies called "Winnie", she was one of the most honest working bitches I have ever had the privelige to see work. She did have the heart of a LION. Wish the were more of them about. I am showing my age now. ATB.
  18. Hi there, I have two S. Deacon bred Black Terriers which are 10" and 9" at the shoulder, they are as made as butter. To be fair they havn't seen any graft yet, but they have seen dead fox carcases and they have gone mental. You can span them both with one hand.
  19. I have been a fan of sealyhams for many years, but never got around to owning or working one. I wonder if there are any lads working them or crosses today, not the Sporting Lucas Terrier, not that I am decrying the S.L.T. Please can we see some photos of these brilliant little terriers.
  20. fit looking dog very smart. This red bitch has just been lined by a well bred red Irish dog.
