  1. i think the last time i weighed and measured razor was about 3 1/2 years ago ..he was about 68lb fit..and about 27" about 18months old or there abouts..boots is going to be very much like his old mans size and build ..looks like stevie,s blade his blue pup is going to be there or there abouts aswell..razor has given me some belting days out ...and a few pulling my hair out sort of days too.. i just hope you lads get the same out of your young uns and i will be a happy man...and i dont se any reason why you shouldnt..razor has had some real stick over the seasons and there is a few tell tail s

  4. i am going to whitter on a bit more.lol.. and i think most folk will agree whos has run a few long ears that when that hare leaps out of its seat ..or gets put out of cover ect ect. that hare has a plan A.it knows exsactly where it wants to go..what we need our dog to do is stop this hare going where it wants to go.basicly stop it getting to plan A...because most hares dont seem to have a plan B.on the big land the hare has more time to try and out think..and gets to use all its athlectisum to try and out run twist and turn useing it fitness and speed against the dog to gain a yard or two to g
  5. you make a good point whiskey ..not sure i agree but i cant argue the point either ..me personally i think hares vary quite lot.. i too have run a few longs ears field and fen. sheep fields where they have be harrassed day in day out by local kids lamping them running them daytime with 3 and 4 dogs..educated hares you might say ..also same down the road..i have what some might call a fen dog ..but what was brought up when young in these postage stamp fields same as all my dogs .if any of my dogs cant do it in them fields then they wont get took down the road..because i really do think the h

  9. could be the same place you never know .lol these could certainly run abit ..these got exsercised quite a bit by the passing dog lads iam sure ..because it was very rare you got one out of its seat they where up and off before you could get anywhere near them ..had some very decent races on there thats for sure..to be honest the over big hares most of the time seem to fold easier in my opinion..not allways the case but alot of the time.
  10. a friend was telling me the other day he used to run a place on the fens were they were small but could really run, when he first went there one jumped he thought was a leveret but he didnt think it 4/5 mins later
  11. to be honest i dont think the sizes have changed..diffrent parts of the country they seem to change alot..maybe not the counrty but even county..theres a place in lincs where we used to go if.i say on a blokes called shifty eyes land theres a couple of folk on here who will know where i mean..these hares where quite a bit smaller on here i dont just mean one or two they all seemed like small hares.had some really good races on there too..didnt make them any easier to catch..theres also places down there that seem to hold alot of big hares ..the biggest ive had was local to me didnt measure it

  13. i will never use it fuji..it you interbreds up cumbria who run doubled up.. how did the asda trip go you whittering twat..i can never get you of the phone.,. £131 in Asda you should of stayed on the phone it would of saved filling the f*****g trolley lol..we just take a load of dogs mate and have a free for all..it's the way to go :-) i cant spend anymore now ..iam saving up for judgment day.. lol. Amount of time you were on your phone my advice is book yourself some overtime in for the next two weekends to pay your phone bill haha...your like a f*****g old woman :-) i can talk shite

  22. houghall is in durham i know pal..i searched the net and found that cheers.. last name .not sure ..i also looked at slippers in the cup around that time 1869 most where tom wrights family and himself...i will get to the bottom of this..there has been a lot of money spent having this leader made.there got to be some history somwhere.
