I should have said get it to a level of obeidiance first wich i do with all mine and at 7 month old they are working cover under control then again they are an easey type and not the hyper feild trial type.atb dell Hyper ft type ? A spaniel should be hyper thats why there called a springer and a cocker is called a cocker beause its cocksure of itself.. springers have drive stamina and out and out hunting ability to find flush and retrieve game same goes for the cocker..A pup from good solid stock should set u back 400 too 500 hundred .u should c the parents and how well trained biddab

if u got a friend with a dog that retrieves you throw a pheasent send your dog ..if your dog doesnt pick it send tthe other dog to retrieve it usually as the othher dog approaches yours will pick it praise recall if not throw phessy again send the other dog and then praise the other dog..then try again jealousy can and is a wonderful training tool with dogs edited to addd ffs you only had the dog three days what are u doing beating with it doesnt know you yet...

I start with memorys on single track so no deviation ...get the dog to back in straight lines then after a while ill make it a blind dog hasnt seen the retrieve but memory and repeating excersise makes dog believe theres something there ....gradually increasing distance then changing the game by moving location but same excercise....and pushing dog futher and further and further back... also do it in corners of fields one blind and one seen retrieve alternating the game.... then eventually when knowing theyll go in straight lines ill move to middle of field place bamboo cane out about 30 yrd

Its a lovelly looking thing and ill bet hes a cracking dog but I have great doubts that he wont be able to stop chasing...Collie bred and round stuff up Spaniel bred to hunt and flush game and are usually bonkers ...the mind set of this cross makes me believe ur not making it easy for yourself or the dog ...The collie is highly intelligent as is the springer but I just dont think he will make the grade as a gundog...Better than buying a collar find someone local whose handy with dogs talk to him see if he can help ...hell have more experience and may and will help you..And that is not having a

Lol just that hill in photo reminded of a shoot I picked up it too pissed down all morning than late in afternoon are sodden coats froze a stemp dropped then snow ...two dogs collapsed hat day due to weather and work...not much fun going home either lol Regards Me

Personally Id let them hold it but be given no publicity at all,the press should not report it ,they thrive on publicity angry confrontration by starving them of publicity, confrontration for this is why there attempting to hold it there... will be the opposite to the result they need and succur there idiotic attempt of gaining more oxgygen...Also the residents of this village should turn out and turn there backs as they walk past....

Depends on temprement of the dog..My line of springers are soft so no more than a harsh gruff voice and pick them up is more than suffice..My cockers are different they are not hard but cheeky ,voice and letting them know your within distance to them and never taking your eyes of them too give them the chance to take the piss..Whereas on of the labs I have very well bred is hard in temprement and its a battle to train her ..its not fun fr me or for her at the moment, which defeats one of the most valuable part of training which is to be fun for the both of us..Its a battle of wills at the mo

Never heard this before, but I'm quite prepared to believe it................ The thing that would bother me though, is if the dog's eating it's own crap through some digestive disorder (and I'm no expert, so I've no idea what it could be!) surely that would just lead to a gradual malnutrition? What's the vet said about it? Cut the protien in the food down worm the dog if not up to date.
