  1. Regardless, beautiful dog in question...love the striping across the brown saddle. The dogs playing in the snow is great ....damn I miss my dogs.
  2. do you hunt coyote ? i would fly to america and pay you to go hunting coyote with sighthounds, cocker Yes sir...I generally run Stags or straight greyhounds on 'em. As I've mentioned before, I sold all my stock due to an upcoming deployment to the Gulf of Aden for about a year. After that, I'll be rebuilding my pack. Come on out after that, you pay for plane tickets to get here; I'll take care of the rest. BTW, thanks for the replys all. I know the Missus would love to have a house full of coyote killing super models.
  3. Absolutely beautiful dogs, mate !! Question...do you guys think a pair could handle a coyote ?
  4. When I was a kid, I had a friends collie-german shepherd cross wrap it's jaws around my thigh. I still bear some impressive scars from that. Used to have a few unpredictable Military Working Dogs that would get a little over-zealous; but for the most part I've been very fortunate.
  5. Not wanting to speak for Dan...but my Stags have always been perfect ladies and gentlemen around people . Can be a little dicey around other animals, especially quick little animals that kick up their prey drive; but pretty well behaved .I had to take one of mine on vacation with us this past summer due to an eye injury that required constant treatment...almost forgot he was around half the time. Unless he tried to claim the bed.
  6. Dan, are you letting the terriers dig 'em out and then having the Stags do the coup de grace ?
  7. Well done...that's grabbing the tiger by the tail.
  8. Hunting from mules. We'll need some pics of that. Nice job as always! Dude, mules are the ultimete ATV....
  9. Fantastic work, Dan....God, I miss my Stags.
  10. Well said, CH. I'm seeing digs that look like they require a miner's helmet and a canary.
  11. I love to share hunts with you and read about how you guys hunt in the UK. Plus, you guys have a cracking sense of humor. I may not know all the lingo, but it doesn't detract in the least. That being said, between you guys here and one other site; I am able to learn a hell of alot about how to use terriers . It's a veritable library of terrier hunting. Gundogs, hounds,staghounds....these I know. But terriers are going to be added to my arsenal upon my return from overseas. And I can't wait. Regardless, I have gained a new respect for not only my hunting brethern in the UK; but also
  12. I had to make sure I read the posts in this one.... "Bubbles" being the name of Michael Jackson's chimp and all.
  13. LOL...that was good. Another good one I need to find was from Iraq...a guy walks out into the middle of the street with an RPG,takes a knee and get's ready to fire. Almost immediately you see tracers begin zipping through him and then he falls . As soon as he falls, a serviceman steps out from behind cover ; right across the street with a SAW.
  14. Hate to hear this for you....losing a dog is hard enough; but to lose one like this gives the knife an extra turn. Very sorry.
  15. You said a mouthful there, Alan. That runs current with everything I have ever heard of about them.
  16. Aaron what breed is blindle dog ? patterdale terrier or another breed ? Do you mean brindle ? It's a color ,mate.
  17. I'm glad you asked this as I had been wondering the same thing....would a military entrenching tool work or would it be to small ?
  18. If he wants to experiment and what not ,that's one thing....but the sperm donor pimpin' his own son as a pusher ? Unforgivable...
  19. Having worked in and among prisons practically my whole adult life....imprisonment and how a society deals with it are much more complicated than how it first appears at the surface. I'll try to summarize my impressions... 1) First time,non-violent offenders have no place in prison. 2)Pedophiles have no place in society; they'll never rehabilitate . 3) For some, prison is a chosen way of life and will always be. The only thing that rehabs them is age and then 'perhaps'. 4)Not all prisoners are equal...some genuinely did make a mistake and want to make ammends and go on with li
  20. cheers aaron, and im sure they will do you proud mate. edit: PS: yes id love to know what 'put up' means! DnN, Typically their are 3 ways furbearers(coons, fox, bobcat, mink, muskrat, coyote and so on) are sold.... In the round- the whole carcas. Some buyers actually prefer them this way as it allows them to prepare the hide exactly how they want it. 'Green'- the animal is simply skinned and the hide is then placed in the freezer until sale date. 'Put up'- Involves some time. The hide is washed, fleshed ( placed on a beam and then the leather is scraped to remove all tis
