Is it normal to shoot children as well then?or is it ok cause they where in a van rescuing a wounded man? Is it normal to load up the kids so you can drive into the impact area to pick up wounded ? I don't know about you,but I'd probably leave the family at home.

You're right...pre-ban is the disclaimer. What could you hunt pre-ban and does it equal what we have ? I'll give you an American euphemism...you can always make a fast horse go slow, but it's hard to make a slow horse go fast. In other words, if I have a dog that'll handle a coyote on it's own...what'ya think it'd do to a fox ?

i am sure we have just as good and just as game dogs capable of dealing with 25-40lb coyote over here a good dogs a good dog no matter how its bred Based on what ? What is your litmus test for asserting this ? Not for nothing ,but after having hunted them for over 25 years in all forms and fashion...they are a creature unto themselves.I'm not bashing what you guys do. I'd love to come over watch a British patt. go to ground or go ferreting. This has all the makings of being a highly informative thread. As of yet I have to side with my countryman,Dan ... either a dog has it or he doesn't.No amount of crossing is going to yield something better if the bases and foundations aren't met. That's why I drove 12 hours to get my Airedale pups ; they were straight out of proven working parents. End of story. When I buy fast coyote dogs, I go to parts of the country that are producing dogs I have seen that 'do'.

What a load of crap, bashing on the guy. I've probably killed more US coyotes with copper-plated #4's during Spring and Fall turkey seasons when they presented themselves than with any other gun/caliber/gauge in the house. End result was always the same...tits up dead. Just like the fox in question.

So I'm at work the other night and picked up a copy of Tactics and Military Strategy magazine. It's a fascinating mag. about past conflicts and battles and what was learned by what went right and wrong. In this particular issue was an article about the Roman invasion of the British Isles and the events leading up to Boudicca's Revolt, Hadrian's Wall and the other smaller events and uprisings that took place in that era.
