  1. Not everybody can handle the sweet smell of freedom...
  2. LOL...Paki protester died from smoke inhalation. The smoke from US flags he was burning. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/international/america_basher_backfire_dKswUjW6LBShGc2uKrGyIM
  3. And yet we still kicked your asses in the Olympics by medal count...despite being fat on bad food.
  4. You would think , but fences don't seem to stop them at all. I really have to give pigs props on survivability, reproductivity and over all I guess, 'gumption'. They get the smallest opportunity and they'll make a go of it.
  5. Yeah...I kind am feeling for me ,too. Oh well...at least we both know what happens ,for the most part, when the cold weather sets in . They're like cats. Glad you guys are all getting out ...how long a tour ?
  6. Ahh,,,ok. Just checking in case you new anyone up that way that needed anything I'd be able to help out with once I start migrating North again.
  7. Bastion...got a little interesting there a few days ago, I hear. I'm sitting over here in Al Udeid AB, Qatar at the moment . Then sometime in the near future, make my way back into CJOA then back into the mountains from then on. Just in time for it to start getting cold. You got any mates up at KAIA ?
  8. Damn Chris, wish I knew another THL member was over here. I would've tried to look you up ! Great that you're headed out . Stay safe.
  9. I used to have a stag that was a pretty damn good hog dog ,once he got it through his head that he wasn't going to make a kill. Time and again he'd make a grab and then try to get around to get a throat hold. You know how well that works out on a hog. Tut would sometimes take a hit, release and then get another hold and try the process all over again. Eventually, Tut accepted the fact that a good hold was good enough for us. It was one of those things I figure I'd let him work out on his own.
  10. See,me neither . And there's a trick to that. Primarily don't fish the banks or beaver dams. I know guys that love to hit the dams. Not me,not no but hell no. If you find a submerged hole with no air access, then logically only one thing should be in it. A hole with air access...huh uh, could be anything in that damn hole. Anyway, it takes a while to get used to not hauling ass out of there when you feel something clamp down on your foot or hand. It's not natural to go after it. But you learn.
  11. I don't seem to remember this kind of outcry after the release of 'The Da Vinci Code'. Hmmm...weird.
  12. Catfish seek out holes when they go on the nest. So what you do when you 'noodle' or 'hand fish' is run your hand into these holes and the female occupying the nest then clamps down onto your hand and you haul her out. Obviously, that's the condensed version of how it goes.
  13. Probably one of the best looking EBT's I've ever seen.
  14. Oh hell...you can noodle and keep all your fingers. Your knuckles might look like they belong to a prize fighter, though.
  15. Another good view of the Rooster Tail... http://www.yakimabai...01&bestseller=Y And then here's the link to Mepps' lure selection guide. Pretty interesting... http://www.mepps.com/resources/lure-selection-guide/
  16. any pics of these lures Aaron ..just out of interest Here you go. http://www.google.co...iw=1024&bih=676 I was given one of those white ones last season, tried it a few times and never had a touch on it. Maybe just bad luck. I think if you have faith in a lure of fly you seem to fish better, the ally shrimp is probably one of the best known salmon flies but i have tried them off and on for years and never even had a pull. I would not put one on now. Some other anglers i know cant go wrong with them. Thanks for posting the pic. I've never really had luck with bright
  17. A gunsmith mate swore by 20cal and said you got the best of both worlds! Some 25 years back he used to have an old Sheridan Blue [& Sliver] Streak multi pump in 20cal. Not many .20 pellets available in UK then! Being a bit 'anal' and a bloody good 'smith' he made a former to size down .22 pellets. Bit laborious but they were a 'perfect' fit! The gun / pellet combo was awesome but hard work to pump! Ahh, the old Sheridans... http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Sheridan_Blue_Streak_CB9_Combo/1433
