i can see where this guy is coming from,i felt the sameway about my dog, but,i hasten to add it was thru my own lack of experience with working dogs....i wanted a tough little dog that would do what comes naturally,my dog at the time seemed a little too soft, always rather subdued and a bit too playfull....but..it was a pup at the end of the day so whats it supposed to behave like???? as it turns out my dog is a bit soft.......at home.....at work is a different story, hes great with our young kids (essential),not too bad with other dogs (unless they come to our house)out in the field he does wh

wish folk would who dont like plummer would butt out and go whinge about sommit else..(like tinting thier white knickers pink in the wash or sommit else a little more feminine). Terrie..couldnt tell you about the better stock, i have a wyremead (sam and tanner),i bought him specifically for ratting as thats what i enjoy the most, and the dog hasnt let me down yet,he was a yappy little git,had an obsession with sticks and got too preoccupied to start with..we have to work hard for our ratting down here in the s/west,we dont have bumper days to train our dogs on,we have to mooch and mooch hard,

our nick uses the soft fleshy part between the 2 tendons running from the base of your thumb to the base of your index finger.....if you splay your hand out wide and wiggle your thumb from side to side you will see what i mean,i guess a bit will depend on your hand but he gets a perfect call doing this, and ive witnesed the results...........cant do it myself tho

i have witnessed very young dogs ratting.....they have been thrown in the deep end and managed to get lucky on a huge chicken farm, the place gets bulldozed twice a year...take an untrained dog the first time, hundreds of rats, the dog tires easily but soon twigs as to what to do......second time around, the dogs were taken out to rest as they just couldnt get enough, battered to peices and exhausted...............my dog on the other hand....has had to suss a lot more out as weve been on hard mooches on pretty dry farm where we are out all day for a dozen rats.....training a dog is so much easi

couple of question for the educated 4x4 users. im going to view one tomorow, absolute spanker ,mint bodywork, full mot,1600cc,94 model,100000miles, its got normal road tyres, wheres the cheapest place to buy the offroaders or maybe a good allround tyre for both?? and the other problem is that its a gay blue colour....is it feasable to just handpaint it with hammeright as you would a landy? or do i have to get a respray??...any pointers on these 4x4's greatly appreciated.cheers folks.

Didnt do stevies dog charlie any harm ....being as his dam was just 16month old and sire 4 year old and both never entered to fox. Infact i could go back further still..but that wouldnt help the matter. What i would say that 18 years ago if we hand'nt have bred from untested dogs then the breed would be dead now. One of the most famous plummers sid (rocky alice) eneterd by brian nuttal for paul flack served with 2 hunts dug more than any hunt terriers with both those 2 hunts sereved nothing but russelles.Yet another waste. I agree with what you say Glenn. But surely worker to work
