  1. Hi Matt. Only the person pulling the trigger can make that decision, taking into account of his surroundings, weather conditions, and personal skill levels, confidence. As I said, if the hunters equipment is up to the task, along with his/her marksmanship skill's, then why should he not take the shot. The same can be said for a not so practiced marksman shooting at 30yds, is it safe, should he make the shot? I think we are sometimes to quick to jump on people, and make our own assuptions before we know exactly what they are about. As I said before, it is most deffinatly
  2. Hi guy's. I have just found another tall story. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt1y0jeQzrw&feature=related Just goes to show, there are other good shot's out there too, so let's not get to wrapped up in our own success or knock other peoples. Bill.
  3. Hi Dogvixen. So all the previous post's we have seen on here where hunters have taken birds off of Barn roofs, television ariels, tree's, roof top's etc are irresponsible too then? Or is one rule for one and one for another??? AND THERES NO NEED TO SHOUT !! Bill.
  4. Hi Gary. Exactly that mate, we dont know for sure. Doe's anybody actualy know this chap personaly?? There are many excellent shot's on this forum, some of which have taken some very impressive calculated shot's. I just dont like to see a guy ripped to shreads for daring to post that he has made a good shot too. ATB. Bill.
  5. Hi Gary. Does the guy have an FAC certificate? Bill
  6. Hi Matt. Firing into the tree's is not a problem, as long as the land you shoot is suitable. Down to common sense of the shooter I would think. Let's not presume too much here, give the guy some crdit. Bill.
  7. Looking at the entry and exit wounds, I would guess FAC, a tuned rifle too. The guy is obviously a good shot looking at the placments. I would say a shot on a pigeon at 100yds is either a kill, or a complete miss. A shot on a pigeon at 30yds could be hit or miss. If the guy has the kit, skill, and confidence to take the shot, good luck to him. Agreed, not a shot your average hunter should attempt. I think the 40 yds up the tree could be a typo, or there are some buckin great tree's where he live's Bill.
  8. Hiya lad's. Well done, sounds like you had a very good night ATB. Bill.
  9. Hi Darryl. NICE fish mate I like to chuck a line too, but for Bass. Not been able to do much latly though. Do you tie your own flies? Bill.
  10. Well, that artical speaks volumes dosnt it. As already said, proberbly irate customers venting their frustration and anger. HOW does this shabby outfit stay in business!!?? They do not deserve the trust of their customers at all. Bill.
  11. Hiya guy's. Excellent write up. enjoyed the read. Them little buckers certainly can do a lot of damage. A local farm I shoot on had simular problems with the loom's being chewed out. That sort of repair cost's dearly, and like you said Mark, there's the down time to consider aswell. So you must get huge satisfaction from every shot you take. Good shooting SP ATB. Bill.

  17. Hi Steve. Look's like there are a good few people that have been affected by this motly crew. They do not deserve any business. Bill.
  18. More to the point in this case the item should be "substantially as described". So describing something as good condition and it being covered in rust and falling to pieces isn't legal! Shame you've had to go small claims route, and trading standards are unlikely to close them down for one thing like this, they will just give them a slap. Problem for you is that it's difficult to enforce a small claims judgement, especially against a limited company. If they go out of business then you might not see any of your money, whether you win or not! Of course, if they stay in business and don
