  12. i agree a supersport would be a winner. i would have one to sell you as i bought a second off a chap on another forum, turned out the barrel was bent! didnt get a refund totally gutted. they do pop up for sale quite often though. great little gun was my first. all the best tom
  13. yeah ive shot a couple as a nipper but like you say theyre basically someones property and i know most of the keepers round my parts its not really on shooting them they loose enough as it is through traffic poachers fox etc theres no woods round where i can shoot so the only time i see em is on the farm down silage pits and round fields they never seem to be very clued up no matter what time of year to be hounest theyre just especially useless when first let out. infact the best shot of my life was a pheasent i say best it was more like the most fluke. managed to nail a flying pheasent with a
  14. im with air gunner supersports are excellent budget guns ive has mine for over a decade and its probably near 20 years old and still great. but if youre going second hand then yeah weihrauch is excellent but majorly heavier i have a 77k and a 97k (only both as my 97 has been on lone to someone for 3 years and i got fed up and bought the 77) its a great gun but you will notice carrying it all day if thats what youre doing. i have never owned an air arms of any kind yet which is strange as ive owned a lot of different guns. But i hear the praises sung all the time. basically if you buy english o
  15. i always thought it was illegal to shoot them with an airrifle. learn something new everyday. i do agree though its ridiculously easy to shoot pheasent theyre thick as shit and stand around waiting to get shot. if you do shot them maybe limit it to what you and your friends will eat if you start selling loads then the keeper etc will prob get wind of it and be pissed off. i know i would be!
  16. i wondered about this too. ive just got into pcp recently i took my bottle to the dive shop to get it filled and the chap there told me they need testing every 2 and half years but in 2 seperate ways. so a 'visual' test then after 2 1/2 a different test i cant remember the name of and the after 2 1/2 a visual again and so on. i thought it was only every 5 years too but he seemed to think different. never cleared it up was he wrong then?
  17. ive not done enough trial and error with pellet choice either ive usually just stck to accupels as thats what the local and very very small shop stocks (it has literally 4 guns for sale at one time!) i must endevour to try more although ive found theyre very successful. oh and sibaldib i love your signature my thoughts exactly
  18. link doesnt seem to work mate
  19. i always use tnt too im not aware of whether they allow the posting of weapons though i didnt look into it. probably should do really! anyway looks like im out the running thats a great deal someones going to get there!
  20. if youd be up for posting then i'd have the pair you can get insured post for not a lot more than normal i think with parcelforce you could send them insured for about £25 fair enough if you dont want to but i live in hampshire so meeting would be a joke unless you ome south at all? cheers
  21. so i got my new rapid 17 today fitted with a falcon merlin 4-14x42 only problem is the band of metal that marks the yardage on the parrelax is loose rendering it totally useless. so i was wondering does anyone else have this scope? and could they tell me at what angle is 0degrees is directly above looking at the scope from the left hand side is the 10yard mark if the dial is turned completely anticlockwise? thanks for any help
  22. just got a rapid 17 my overdraft is maxed out! mrs is not impressed but its a beautiful gun! its fired 30-40 shots so is mint as they come and fitted with a falcon merlin scope with range finder thats bloody excellent so am pretty chuffed! im now in a position where i know i HAVE to shed a few guns just got to decide which. im thinking keep the harrier and the rapid although i know i should just keep the rapid but i think the harrier would be better for just grabbing for a quick blitz round the farm and the rapid for a proper outing i think ill just keep em both sod it ill get pics up of the r
  23. well i got the theoben today! ive got to admit im really happy with it i havent had a chance to take her out though its so wet theres no rabbits about and im taking my enduro out instead perfect weather for that! its a beast of a gun with a superb scope on it (falcon merlin) ill let you know the verdict after a good session with it but i havent a similar daystate to compare it with though so cant really give an opinion of which i prefer. would it be possible to fit a weihrauch trigger to it? i doubt it is but itd be great if possible!
  24. would you sell just the gun with silencer and slip? if so how much you after? and if not how much you after for the lot? oh and will you post as if you wont im out of the running! looking at over 400miles! : ) cheers
