  1. Sounds like you need a sighthound to work with the mink. Would love to bring my whippets down sometime to catch bolted critters with ya!
  2. Anyone seen the dog in person or just judging on two photos and the fact that it's American bred?
  3. What a tiny greyhound with all sorts of whippet blood behind it, very odd. Hahaha The dog is a whippet and still breaking track records..
  4. Would anyone care to post a few pics of FAST uk pedigree whippets? The dog is 20inches and looks like a whippet, performs like a whippet... Dare I say.. MUST BE A WHIPPET
  5. Very interesting topic this. Would love to have the opportunity to run all the species of hare on that side of the pond someday!
  6. The Whippets skin is their major downfall for me. Their skin is TOO thin in my opinon. That being said, mine handle barbed wire no problem, I have had them torn open now and again, but that comes with the game! If your looking for a house dog/hunting partner I would say you'd be happy with a Whippet, or maybe Whippet cross. They are fun dogs to own and work, I wouldn't trade mine for the world. I like bitches better than dogs on the usual, but as of right now my favorite is a dog.. Each dog can be different!
  7. Anyone feed a diet of mostly fish? Rather than just supplementing with fish?
  8. Nice lookin dogs, wish mine retrieved better!
  9. I like him too, he is a fun one to own! Are you running any whippets snappeer?
  10. You should see my other pair with the pink rhinestones on the back pocket in the shape of a skull and crossbones, they sound right up your alley The male is 23" and the female is 21" I don't know much about the Laguna whippets, so I couldn't say as to what type they are..
  11. Thanks, you think I could make it into a UK fashion magazine? I never knew I was so stylish. A woodchuck
  12. How do you train a mink to flush and not catch? I'm genuinely interested. And I would think you should really avoid letting the mink bite the dog... If that happens with a jagd or patt, more than likely you got a dead mink on your hands. Have you thought about a Jack Russel terrier? I think that might work well for you guys..
  13. No body else is slipping them Whippets?!
  14. What a team you two are. Thanks for sharing with us, I love your posts
