I remember reading an article in air gunner years and years ago about one farmer guy who did a bit of hunting. He noticed he saw more quarry in the day, doing his routine then he did whilst actively out hunting. He concluded that the vermin were happy to let him get closer when he was doing his routine, because they were used to him being there, walking down there and nothing bad happen. Once he got camm'd up and running around the bushes, they vermin got suspect and scarpered! So he used to do his routine with a Theoben Fenman slung over his shoulder! I think it's a multitude of things:

ah right. 'realtree' is the correct term then. Yeah, i guess so. I guess it comes down to how serious you're gonna be, and if people will see you walking around! haha! I've got a load of walking gear so would just tend to use olive and black colured stuff?

Archie, if that's you on that bench in that photo i want whatever you've got on!

Hi all, I see some guys on here fully kitted out in that Mossy Oak ninja gear. Last time i was into this game Mossy Oak was just coming out and it was the new black back then - personally i just thought it was a fad. 9 years later, i've come back to hunting and there's still 'Mossy Oak Ninja's' left, right and center. So i've got several questions: 1. Does it really work? Or is it just trendy? 2. If it does work, does it work noticeably better than other Military camouflage patterns? Say DPM? 3. Why not go one further and wear a Ghillie suit?

Firstly, here is the shooting permission letter: 26th January 2008 (for illustration) RE: Pest/vermin control Dear Sir or Madam: First of all, I would like to take this chance to thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I am writing to enquire whether there is any opportunity for pest control on your land free of charge. My name is XXXXX XXXXX; I am XX years old, married with two children and live in XXXXXXX, Kent. I have been shooting for XX years now and enjoy the hobby very much, along with the added bonus of helping the farmer/land owner by controlling pests suc

Ah right Cheers! G-man! -
Actually Tris, lasers are brilliant for range finding. Have it set above the scope you can adjust the laser so that at 30 yards, the laser is spot on the cross at the zero range. The laser will shine lower when distance is greater and higher when closer. I am thinking of doing just this for night shooting Phantom Yeah, zeroing in the cross-hairs to a single laser point would be the easier, simpler, cheaper - better way of doing it! LOL!

Ok, i'm just 'blue sky thinking' here. Mil-dots: does the bunnies head, fit between the first circle of dots at a certain range, and the outer ones at a longer range??? With a bit of experimenting could you find the specific ranges for each group of rings? Even if only as a guide? I've never had a mil-dot scope, so if talking i'm sorry - i just thought i'd put that out there! f**k it i'm on a roll now. Another idea i got is DAM BUSTERS. You know in order to drop the bouncing bomb, the planes had to be at a very specific height from the water in order to get the bomb to start bouncing.

That sucks. What an idiot! People like that me off big time. Yeah, a couple of Farmers i spoke to today MUST of had bad experiences in the past because their response was automatic and quite hostile! I could tell when i said the words 'shoot on your land' bad memories were resurfacing! It felt like i was being punished for it! I don't blame them one bit though - i'd be the same!

Hi Tony, Cheers! Yeah, i was just a bit down earlier. I took a day off work to get proactive and push hard. Judging by how annoyed i got, i guess it's evidence that i was expecting to get something today - foolishly. I'm alright now, mainly thanks to this letter template of the Grimreaper that Davy kindly referred me too. It's given me another avenue work at it from. Just got to get all the address's sorted now, which will be time consuming, but I'm certain will be worth it
