  1. Nice write up Davy, I like the way you got the camera next to the rifle so we could get an idea of the shot and the ground you were shooting around. I think it would be beneficial to everyone to do this when giving an account of their days hunting.
  2. Hmm... i'm getting alot of HW100 being pushed my way Ok guys, you've got me interested, well, alot more interested than i originally was in this chunk of German metal. I'm gonna go do some research...
  3. Yeah, i know on full bore the 'floating barrel' concept is supposed to improve accuracy. Whether this is true on air rifles i'm not sure, and if so, whether it is practical on an everyday in the field sporting rifle that is going to get knocked around, i guess, is another debate
  4. Hmmm... The huntsman still utilizes the archaic concept of a 'manual' trigger unit (don't you know! ) am i right? Is the electronic trigger the thing you didn't like about the Air Wolf? As i found the lack of movement in the rifle when firing staggering. But, i think i would a bit of a cock poncing around with one of these - that and the price are the only reservation i have about this rifle. The Rapid 7 is close to my heart, but it's old now. I don't like the new variations. Just the good old mk1 in .22 thank you very much But, it's old enough now that i'm just double-checking (bei
  5. Haha! Ok, ok you love your 100 i get it! Really, is it above the others? Or is just an emotional preference?
  6. Ok, i got rid of my S400 this weekend, since i haven't yet got permission and figured now's the time to treat myself. I was at my local gun smith's this weekend (PJ Draper's) and was playing the Daystate Air Wolf which was impressive, but it's a tad on the pricey side and i'm concerned id look like an 'all the gear, no idea' kinda guy. I know i have no idea, but i don't think there's a need to advertise it BUT, that said the rifle still impressed me. Then there's the classic Rapid 7, my boy hood dream rifle, John Darling used to use it, and i still like the look of it, and i'm told shoots
  7. love the gun mate hope you do some good stuff with it mind im with davey my neck has gone lol Yeah me too matey! We bagged a couple of bunnies today, but were only at 10 metres, so not really testing the gun! lol!
  8. Hi Marksman, Yes, that's very observant. That's the first thing we noticed when we got it back and started setting it up. We got it though - just!
  9. Yeah it's on par with the FN8. We were in the shop comparing them, but this just felt so much more balanced it won hands down!
  10. Hi all, Just thought i'd post a few pics of my house mates new rifle the Brocock Contour, it's absolutely tiny! We put a Simmons White Tail Classic 3.5-10x50 'Super Night View' scope on it, which almost dwarfs the rifle! but with that big objective lens it looks mean! Just back yard plinking today mind! Can't wait to get into the field!
  11. got any pics Not yet, errrr.... will get on it, give me day or two though mate.
  12. Hi all, I have for sale, or swap - ideally swap. A Falcon FN19 in .22 flavour. It's a brand spanker, fired only a couple of tins of pellets - and that's all at the local indoor shooting club! But, it only hold your interest for so long, i need my own permission. It's got a decent scope on it: Hawke 4-16x50 with all the bells and whistles. I'm to chuck the scope in for the right deal. Basically, i'm after an FN12 or FN8 which i want in .22, then i want an FN19 in .177 - though not exclusively, any long in .177 will be considered. Cheers! Tris
  13. LOL! Well Migmog, if that were the case, i don't think you should post any photos - that would just be wrong. "i bagged me 13 missus' today, look lads " what!! you bagged your missus and shes 13.. what, stone or years old?? of them!
