after a lazy summer socks i believe it would be beneficial to start off with road work not only to gradualy build up fitness but also to strengthen those tendons , ligaments, and toughen there pads a little before giving them more strenuous forms of exercise. once they have attained a decent fitness level its gallops and runs which are needed to strengthen those lungs.
