I sort of expected mine to be a half decent alarm dog with her having both wheaten and bull in her make up, but nothing! Despite her age she's still fairly immature so I'm hoping it clicks when she gets a bit older (as it did with those other two). It's not a massive big deal if she doesn't as it's not what I got her for. I know it was just a general comment Skycat, but she definitely hasn't been hammered into quiet submission so it's not that.

Does anyone have a hunting dog that is quite effective as a guard dog aswell? not talking about a full on protection dog, just one that will react to strange noises, be wary of strangers in the house, bark when people knock etc.? In the past I've had dogs that didn't even bark when someone knocks on the door, but then all of a sudden they got to a certain age and started doing so. My current lurcher is nearly 2 years old and I'm not joking she is feckin useless as a guard. Obviously noone would expect a lurcher to be a top class guard dog but my ferrets would act as a better guard t

I saw a video in school that showed those, so this has been known of for a long time but nobody cares. We had to study the one child policy and like the article says if the baby wasn't allowed, or even sicker if it was the wrong sex then they put them in giant cold rooms with the other dead babies. They just leave them there to die of the cold, no idea how long it takes but everyone knows about it and like I said, don't give a f**k. it just beggars belief!!!!! I've never heard of that before, I'm truly lost for words!!

She obviously did her research before applying for the job! Probably thought an abbatoir was an animals retirement home :laugh: she was from a long line of f'ckin nutcases to be fair....her ma couldn't drive alone because she wasn't confident enough to look anywhere but straight ahead when driving....so when entering a round about the passenger had to tell her when to go and she'd just look straight ahead...and this woman has been driving for decades!!! :icon_eek:

I honestly don't think people connect burgers, bacon etc. with the animals that they come from....even chickens! Don't get me wrong, I know everyone knows that beef is cows, bacon is pigs etc. but I think the seperation between a packet of meat in a supermarket and a cow in a field is so big that it's easy for people to disassociate the two. I've used this example before but my brother in laws father sat at the dinner table saying how it's cruel to shoot pigeons while at exactly the same time eating chicken from a buffet, it honestly looked like he was taking the piss but it didn't cross

the lad will have drummed up a following before he went round, if he didn't have his chavvy little audience he wouldn't have been anywhere near as bold. Most chavvy little shits are like that, when they THINK someone is an easy target they'll be all mouth......it's a beautiful video!!! god knows how he kept his cool for so long though, I'd be drop kicking the little wanker out of my garden after about 2 seconds!

I think Rob was meaning the selling of livestock, in my lifetime i have been jobless, homeless, pennyless and destitute, but i always found a way to ensure my dogs were cared for properly........
