    yeah I found that at the back end of last season, absolutely loads of warrens either empty or with just single rabbits in them....in the last 5 or 6 sessions of last season I think I found about 3 sets that had more than 1 rabbit in it. Well wierd! I wonder if that's why you seem to see more foxes about these days? Cos they have to travel further in search of prey?

    It's nothing like as serious as getting caught with a rifle on you. You could just say you're going to practice hitting cans on a wall with it, as far as I'm aware there's no law to say you can't have a catapult on you. Most people who are off fishing would have one on them! Also, they'd have to have a reason to be searching you in the first place.

    Not that bothered about actually catching them at the moment, the squizzers keep us fairly occupied for the time being. I'll try and pick off as many mixi rabbits as possible when it hits to do my bit to stop it speading too much...quite happy just wandering around in the sunshine with my camera at the moment though.

    I'm beginning to wonder whether rabbit numbers are actually going to recover this year in North Wales...last season started off quite well and then just before Christmas the rabbit population plummeted and the rest of the season was just hard work. I've been out with the dog at 5:30am for the last 3 days, first day I saw one hare and one fox but no rabbits, second day I saw nothing apart from a few squirrels, today I saw one fox and two rabbits. So that's 7.5 hours of walking the countryside early in the morning and I saw a grand total of 2 rabbits, both fully grown. What on earth is going

      I run out all the time too! I think it's on a 24 hour cycle, irrespective of the time of day. Not sure though!

    if i feed my dogs on a monday then skip a day and feed them the next i called that every 3 days wich i probly made the mistake of saying. and i give the smaller dogs 4+ eggs and the big dogs six and work 2 big dogs so that would be 12 eggs. just sounds to me ur a smart arse lookin for an argument read the tread again and dont even reply, the likes of you piss me off always looking for something to jump on. and you called me thick, i don't know what school you went to, but i would call that feeding your dogs every 2 days, anyway you crack on with what you are doing as it obviously suits

    Not always though mate lots of people change careers several times now a days. As long as you do what ever you decide to do whole heartedly then it wont be time wasted even if you decide to can it later down the line Totally agree....I've changed career paths three times now, sometimes things seem good until you actually start doing it, plus you might try something you've never thought of and excel at it or really enjoy it.

    In most cases dogs seem to be removed for 'tests' to be conducted, pending investigation etc etc. Going on a lot of the lads on here it has happened to they seem to hold onto the dogs for a very long time if not indefinitely. Is your spelling actually that bad or are you typing with your face? :laugh: :laugh:

    PS. if what you say is true (which it isn't), then you'd be well known to the authorities who are trawling sites like this all the time.....and you've just informed them of your intentions to get a lamping dog for long ears. Good luck on your first outing, silly boy also, funny question for a "proper hunts man" to have to ask in the first place!!!!

    no I'm not, just rabbiting for me pal. main reason why I wouldn't go coursing - because if you do and you get caught you lose your dog, and I wouldn't want to risk that. ......you should have researched that before you come up with your silly little story.
