  5. i have a dog that was a very slow starter. he was nearly 30 months until the penny dropped. the only reason i kept him on was because he was showing a few small signs that he had more to offer. if anyone else would have had him, he wouldn't be here today. thankfully he did come good and at the age of 10 is the best worker i've ever owned... if given enough chances and you're not making any headway your just wasting your time, other 'terryorrs' just go themselves and don't need schooled, though entering too young could end up backfiring.........good post terryorr..........
  6. the fella you're buying the dog off must be a muppet or a complete egit.

  9. sounds like you need more then 2 in the ground bud if there that big surely that is not enough terriers That pic is priceless! Speechless. a 1 of a kind that. i think that b+t needs a step ladder. :11: that dig is saturated in piss stains
  10. Quite simply because i use big jerk baits on that rod/reel for big fish, these require a strong line to prevent crack offs and enable the lure to be pulled out of snags Try reading up on jerkbait fishing before you start critising I've yet to find a snag i couldn't move with that braid and rod i use i have other rods for light line fishing, i love catching small or big fish on light line but you try fishing a big jerkbait on light gear, you just can't do it I have lures that cost 20 quid or more...bet if you lost a few of those you would soon see the appeal of strong gear. One of my bes

  18. spot on pal..Trouble is with that scenario is, if you hook a good fish while trolling, and it automatically runs through an imovable snag, ie' boulders, which they have done on lomond. It becomes avery tricky situation...I know its not a good thing to pull for a break with any fish with a lure in its mouth, but in some cercumances you have no choice. You idealy want the line to break near the buisness end,and not have 40 feet of braid trailing behind the fish.... If the lure is semi barbed a pike hasd a good chance of shaking it loose but not if it is tethered to some other object with 80lb br
  19. here batista... just a piece of advice. if you see a sign like this. it's there for a reason.........SIMPLE AS.....as already stated this is club water and people are paying good money for: >the use of it to fish. >the upkeep of the river and the surronding land. >stocking the river with fish for members only. if this is the case i'd avise you to either join the club or stay away and respect their wishes. if you decide to ignore this sign and similar ones before long you will get yourself into some serious hot water pal.

  21. apart from not wanting to loose any gear, why would you want to fish with line so heavy ???? if thats the case tighten you're drag up as hard as you can and just reel every fish straight in. nearly pulling the head off it in the proceeds. i was always a fan off fishing with light tackle, that way you're getting the ultimate fight and feel of all the action.... IMO.. if such lures are too expensive that you have to resort to drastic measures like this not to loose them, then just buy cheaper lures...
