    Completely agree, that ballistic tip tends to have a much quieter impact noise than the LR but as to the OP's original question. I don't think there is much difference worth worrying about in accuracy terms between the two (if they are both running well on their own choice of ammo) but if you want one bunny gun I'd have LR. I have both but the HMR is a bit of a luxury and I love it to bits but if I could only have one, it would be an LR. It will do everything the HMR will do but cheaper and quieter, the only difference being the range and getting within 60-80yards of a rabbit isn't that hard.

    I'm a paramedic, great job, shit hours!! But plenty of time off due to shift work so plenty of time to take the rifles out! I am wanting to go part time and set up my own business doing a more active and outdoors job, just not sure what!

    When i first tried that level, the bloke you are to protect just stands against a wall but looks like hes trying to run. The only way i found of stopping this is by going into the start menu and press restart level. Just getting killed and restarting doesn't seem to work. Hope that helps ATB Phil

    The game has a glitch, mine did the same. You have to restart the full level! Took me hours to work that out!!

    £48 is nothing, been looking for a mag for my Tikka M590 .223, a 5rnd mag is retailing at £75 and a 3rnd mag at £58!! Now thats feckin expensive!! ATB Phil

    Separate cones? Sounds like a sirocco. I still maintain with a bullet making as much noise as it does and a reasonably quiet muzzle report a SAK is all you need. I've shot three rabbits all close together on a number of occasions with the HMR/SAK combo. Spend what you want on a mod but my advice is don't bother, the SAK will do as much as is necessary. I've got to agree with the above. I bought my 17hmr complete with a ASE Utra mod, was impressed with it but swapped the mod onto my .22lr and put the sak on the 17hmr.     Hi, just paid a visit to countryman of Derby and had a chat with Martyn. He's got a brand new Tikka M595 in stock in .222 From what i've read recently, these are very good guns (better than T3?) and i doubt you'll find a brand new one again. Not sure how much he's asking for it but i'm sure someone on here would be interested! Anyway, just thought i'd let you all know as I think its a rare find! Regards Phil

    You should be able to pick a good one up from the likes of pc world for about £350-£400. Not much point going much more expensive as any of the laptops will handle the basics that your looking for. I bought a cheap and cheerful toshiba from there for uni and it handles everythin i throw at it. Things to look at are screen size, battery life and things like wifi and if you like the look and feel of it. The spec doesn't really matter too much as you wont be workin it hard with just browsing and emails! Anyway, thats just my opinion, hope it helps! ATB Phil

    You'll be very, very lucky if you find one second hand!! I've been after a 6 shot for my M590 .223, i ended up ordering a new one. Fortunately i hadbought the gun from a dealer and the mag on it was faulty so i'm getting it as part of the warranty. But i'm afraid your looking at about £65-£70 for a new one. I think they are imported by GMK if that helps?! ATB Phil
