  5. same as that mate,my boys have been beating, fishing, ferreting, shooting AND my eldest(9yr old) has been out with me bolting foxes a couple of times.Gun wise,i take them out with a 410 shooting plastic bottles and targets they draw so they know the damage a gun can do but would never leave them to go it alone for a good few years but look forward to that day! cant see my eldest following in my footsteps, hes more of a lover than a fighter so to speak but the other 2 have the thirst in them.

  17. id save your money and get some bite alarms mate or,before i had the spare cash to buy the alarms,i used to get the glow sticks and tape them to the end of my rods for bite indication but more often than not,the resident bats used to twitch the line so i spent most of the night on my feet thinking id had a fish nibbling.
  18. That is true mate.yes they are fantastic eating but due to their decline and a fantastic fish in their own right,i only feel in fair we protect this fish until hopefully their numbers are on the increase before we all decide to start taking a few for Tea
  19. no disrespect, but it doesnt take an Eel 10yrs per pound. you are correct, they are on a major decline unfortunately.I have targeted the Eels for around 20 plus years and feel the elver fisherman and imigrants taking all they catch away to feed their fellow blood relations as they do all other species! Rats are more common, why not eat them
  20. Leave eating the Eels alone you come sack
  21. Theres a few on here, some of which are my FMWTC members.
