  1. Aye just getting a runs as good for me as a catch... Were going for 5 days but my Mrs wont go out and follow the hounds had to bend her arm to go and see the coursing.. "I'll watch that if the dogs dont kill the rabbit" :laugh: Shes learning slowly. Will take the walking boots and get some walking done.. We have Fishing attached to Country house should be really good. Going in Feb canny wait..

Just been sorting flights and car, already got accomadation.. When I got prices for ferrie was it more exspensive as I was planning on taking a van opposed to car ??

  6. yeah sent them Royal mail recorded delivery.. Cost me £15 But they have to sign and the package was covered for loss damage..   7. Is there Coursing clubs in Ireland that are for lurchers rather than Greyhounds and not park coursing ?? Could a English man get an invite for a days sport if he payed a few quid towards the club ?? Pm if folk prefer.. Hope you have a good trip fella..
  8. Been looking at ferries not cheap... When I am going I aint taking dogs so flying and hiring a car there much cheaper.. Flights from £22 Ryan air mind put all charges taxes on still cheap
  9. Aye there not like cheap rubbish.. They water proof the cuffs are really warm.. Mines been feild tested for over 5 years still going strong..

  12. Todays fruits.. These are not seasoned but it surprizing how much harder and lighter they become.. 7 inch. Scratch card was not a winner either
  13. Cheers Steve.. I am looking for a nice home for her.. Its a shame for her not being able to Participate with the other lurchers even play in the back garden puts her at risk.. Its the Speeds they go... Needs nice fit person for plently lead walks or biking.. Must come with a nice log burner to Got some xrays on the toe.. Its was really bad with fragments of bone.. The joint was alreadly badly calcified and then re broken with in 3 months But it was having a toe off already on that foot that fecked her.. Can live without one toe but twos just to much to loose..   14. I am not sure bud.. Best seeing a pro for advice, mabie just knocked them up ?? My dogs finished with the running.With already having its middle toe off, there is no support for this weakened toe.. I was to hasty get that first toe off, would not do that again. Hope your dog come good..
  15. I have had some hazel pegs on some nets 7 years.. They dont look much different now compared to the first season.. I could not imagine them rotting.. Hard would will be stronger, I have snapped hazzel pegs Plus side they are free I am actually making some pegs this afternoon..
  16. I use hazel.. Cut them 6.5 inch.. Use straight bits not to thin not to thick .. Them ones in pic look a bit naff, but will do the job..
  17. These big shoots put down some birds, bound to loose a few I have some land for the dogs running daytime.. Walked it other week and the lurcher flushed plenty birds from dyke bottoms, if I had a 12 gauge could of bagged myself a few.. Must of came over from shoot after a drive never seen so many over there.. If someone fed them they would hang about.. I would try and attract birds and other wildlife.. The Roe deer seem to like them peas
  18. Sorry to hear about the dog Brimmer.. What a dampner to a good day.. Agree about the two dogs ferreting.. Me and my pal have litter sisters. Solo they are half decent ferreting dogs, but the pair together are driving down holes, snatching rabbits in nets and like you say driving each other on .. Hope they dog comes good and that you were insured. Your a better man than me
  19. Any shoots near by?? I know a rough shoot that dont put any birds down... He just feeds and the birds come from the estate across the road.. The lands ideal and shoot captain just put peas along the borders of feilds.. There is also plenty cover small stripes..
  20. I seen a nice Lab on a rough shoot.. From American lines.. Wall tall and racy,lovely looking dog..
