    Always enjoy your write ups better than reading the CMW.................. This season as been pretty poor so far for us numbers wise but I guarantee we've be out come the weekend.

    Its a 1000 acre farm so still a bit of exploring to do but there is not the amount of rabbits as the farmer says there is......................

    Cheers mate the silver is in his winter coat................ I think this farm would be better suited for lamping although some fields are flinty, ferreting wise its not very good at all. Weather was very nice..................

    Spent a day out on some new ground today but was mildly disappointed, beautiful scenery but not much else. Most of the buries we did had been ferreted before and we only managed to mop up the ones and two's that were left, nothing wanted to bolt. This ground is on the North Downs and very hilly, carrying all the gear up and down these rolling hills as took its toll on me and Tony I shall sleep well tonight......................Only 7 today but here's a few picture's anyway.

    It was rather windy when we arrived at the farm this morning but being extreme hardcore ferreters me and Tony braved all that mother nature could throw at us and continued our mission of harvesting underground chickens. It dorned on us that the bank we intended to ferret was still rather overgrown but where the farm hand's son had been driving his quad bike around and around he had made a neat track around the buries, so we deployed the longnets in a figure of eight pattern to surround both halfs of this particular bury and then we entered the two jills and the hob.     I have recently changed from a Nikon to a Canon and to be honest the Nikon produced better picture's colour wise, the Canon picture's seem to be wishy washy (technical term) and I have to use their digital photo professional program to put some life back in. I like the canon because it fires 5 frames per second and most of my picture's are taken just using the sports mode which means the camera decides the shutter and aperture setting (which is helpful when the light is constantly changing). The ferret was checking that tree for squirrels she is highly trained in aerial combat.................

    Saturday me and Tony did a couple of buries in one of the orchards which run along quite a few rows of apple tree's, first bury the rabbits bolted fairly well but the second bury had a stoat in and the few rabbits that were in there had to be dug to. We managed only 13 rabbits which is rather poor for the time of year..............................................Took Ted out this morning to see if I could get him behind a couple but only managed to bolt one and Ted never really got to grips with it but the morning ended on a positive note as I got chatting to the farmer next door regarding som
