  1. Nice going mate!! Looks a good size bunny. Good to see you're also thinking of others when you're out.... Lmao Darryl
  2. Not bad I suppose..... Lol just wondering if you've even asked mate?? I would still write or even visit the managing agent and ask them if they know they have a large vermin problem namely feral pigeons which can spread disease and that it is their responsibility to keep them under contol. That's where you come in and offer to take care of them for FREE!! Companes seem to like that word.... So....you won't know if you don't try mate! Darryl
  3. The only true advice I can give is try before you buy and if possible get it on a chrono to verify the power As for a riffle being classed as FULL POWER this again is confined to the type of pellet you use. For instance wor kid bought an AA510 in .177 it is a full power rifle however when he took it to get certificated for his work the chrono results varied greatly from just over 9ftlbs to 11.3ftlbs after a variety of pellets which will in effect alter your distance, accuracy and POI The results are in another topic on here if you are interested. I don't know how long you've been shooti

  5. aye go on...you all have a laugh at my expense!! Doesnt help when ya weighed down by 2 batteries and nearly a half dozen rabbits when ya trying to jump a six foot gap! We would have had 10 but we had 2 escapees, one was a lased 43m shot which we both saw keel over giving the one legged salute but could we hell find it!! The second was a right sneaky get...... at 33m it kept teasing us by hiding behind the clumps of long grass, popping in and out at it's leisure. Until after about 5 mins it decided to get brave and come out leaving the front quarter of it's body exposed. GAry settled for th
  6. canny difference in power there mate! Darryl
  7. Have a look in the for sale section mate. If you see a one you like the look of contact the seller and hopefully they'll be close enough for you to go down and try it. As hard as it's going to be with it being your first rifle and you "really want one" don't just jump at the first one you see because it's cheap, keep shopping about and trying as many as you can till you find the right rifle for YOU. They vary greatly in weight, length, style etc so unless you try them you wont know if oyure going to like it Good luck mate Darryl

  15. I had a feeling my initial comment might be taken the Wrong way. I'm not having a go at anyone or am I complaining about another like minded site. All I initially said was it would have been common courtesy to ask THL admin if he could "advertise" about his forum or even offer a link exchange. I run/own a website dedicated to modified and high performance cars (another one of my passions) and have done the very thing in offering a link exchange and being affiliated with other sites no offence was intented so I apologise if anyone has been Darryl
  16. Try contacting Zini mate....he's had them both I think so I'm sure he'll fill you in Darryl

  19. I started when I was 8-9 when my dad had his allotment. He bought a Relum Tornado with a 4x20 scope to shoot the rats around the chicken run and the woodys round the cabbage patch. He let me have a go one day and with his guidance I shot my first rat..... I was instantly hooked. Although I was far too young to be allowed out myself I used to badger him all the time to take me out until eventually he gave me the gun when I was about 10-11. It wasn't till I was about 13-14 when I went out rabbit hunting with wor kid did I become really hooked.... and it's never stopped from there. As with
  20. I think you've more or less covered the basics tbh mate..... you could try a total degrease and finely polishing the internals to make them "extra smooth" to create the least resistance also ensuring a nice tight fitting seal in the chamber. It's more consistency you want than power mate, like you said....a consistant 10.5 is better than an all over the place 11 Darryl
  21. Top notch mate! Well done! Darryl
  22. Yeah it was hard going Si mate..... Could have been the -4 conditions though so I think you made the right decision to stay in ya nice warm bed...... But I suppose if you dont try you dont get any eh! Cheers mate.....there will ALWAYS be a next time Darryl
