  2. Hi guys..... Well here's another post for you from the adventures of me n wor kid. Some may have read in another thread that I've been getting myself a new NV unit (review to follow) so we went out on Friday night to get it zeroed and do a bit of ratting at our stables permission. After a diversion from my usual route to wor kids due to roadworks I arrived, loaded gear into the van and headed off. 35 mins later we hit the plot. Straight into the stables to zero. After a couple of mags making sure I was on the button the NV was sorted and it was time for the action. Well..... What acti
  3. I meant Infra red on NIght vision mate, not the illuminated reticle on a normal scope Darryl
  4. Since I've had the NV unit I've noticed a few times along with both wor kid and DavyT63 that when scanning a field with the NV + addon IR even in more or less total darkness that rabbits still give it legs. Even when the normal code of practice for fieldcraft have been followed e.g slow movement, downwind, no cast of shadows etc they react as though they can see the IR. Ive done a bit of searching and can only find this.... Like most crepuscular/nocturnal mammals, rabbits are not very sensitive to red or long-red wavelengths, and they should not be bothered at all by an infrared light
  5. Great site for learning stuff! I think it's been posted a few times on here with reference to other stuff NIce reminder though mate Darryl
  6. Its a cracking bit of kit mate, first impressions are good! went out last night but never really saw or got close enough to anything worth taking a shot at, full moon and thick haw frost made the going difficult, going out again tonight so hopefully it will be more productive. I'll post a review tomorrow Darryl

  13. Si the eye relief is like that due to the rubber eyepiece and is actually quite comfortable, any further forward and it didn't feel "natural", it seemed as though I needed to put more effort into aiming tvan is needed I was thinking of putting it on the BSA but it is so well matched to the "old" tascos and hasn't dropped zero once since I got them so I didn't want to spoil a good combo. I'll hopefully do a review this weekend if we actually manage to get out so keep posted Darryl

  20. No interest in this guys?? Darryl
  21. Bad crack that mate! Hope the guy rots in hell But as said above contact the plod and open a case. The police will/should contact paypal who will have his details. They will have a record of you paying the cash to him also. On another note if he actually has posted it he by law should have posted it to be signed for which would produce a tracking number as proof he actually posted it Next time for the sake of a few quid I'd pay the paypal fees Darryl
  22. Get down to your local surplus store and buy a scrim scarf Nice looking rifle you got there Rossy. Look after her mate Darryl
  23. Just think.... In a few more posts time you'll be " one of us" too ;) Darryl
  24. I dare to say you wouldn't go far wrong with a BSA R10. Average of 170-190 shots per fill and as accurate as they come. I had an Axsor had nothing but problems with it so took it back and swapped it for the S10 Depends on your budget I suppose but I'd definitely recommend the R10 Darryl
