u can buy them catapaults he has in the dvd goodens how can you get hold of them are they on the net or just from fairs very nice where do you get your lead shot from?

a relation of mine goes although im not really up on it think you have to have a licence and i think that over the years because they are getting more scarce they have cut the amount of licences that are avaliable (i think) but he goes on the severn around the gloucestershire area theres also a elver station in glos that buys the elvers of the elvermen and exports them to japan/china

hi all would just like to say that daddy christmas brought me a mark 3 finder and after having a new ferret about two months ago i am well eager to get out now (i thought i would hold off till getting the finder) so hopefully will be putting up a few posts of my escapades all the best for 07 !!!!

Aggreetotaly with above comment, this time of year trout tend to go deep and do not move about as much the above method is a bit monotonous but can be very productive. This time of year on stocked waters I fish sinking line, a 2 ff leader with a booby cast out wait til the line is lying on the bottom the slow retrieve 6 inches at a time with the odd jerk thrown in.Only problem I've had with this method is the trout sometimes nearly swallow it right down but on waters where it's a legal method can be deadly. why could this be illegal on some waters (just out of interest)

hi why do you soak the net in warm water as ived started to make my own hemp nets and have never heard of doing this cheers I found it made the knots shrink and tighten as they dried. cheers will give this a try with my next lot

Thats not a simple question to answer fella, different people will give you different answers and the equation starts to become very complicated and not one to be cocked up if your dealing with an amount of quality product. Basically if the material is to be used for external use then it should be stored at a temerature in accordance to the external temperature, seperated from other sections within the pile and a through draft ideally should be present, The ends should also be sealed with oils or paint. i live in the forest of dean mate plenty of wood my way give me £20 and help yourself :11: on a serious note how long would the timber have to be stored for to dry off before you could use it and if english oak is hard to get hold of i could be a millionaire :11:
