  1. here is a link to the KC parson russell, with the breed standard on the right . http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/services...123FCB23DF65F1F
  2. Do you want a pick of the KC breed standard. Or a pick of the man's dogs,? If you want to see the man's dogs its in Ratters link
  3. It could be that he like many others did not agree to the KC making a breed standard for the JR , so he gets offended when they get called parson.
  4. Jack Russell come in a lot of verity. The KC decided that to registrar them as pedigree, a breed standard would have to be made . The parson jack Russell is the name given to the dogs that match the KC breed standard. So your jacks are fine just not kc show type
  5. Husky s are not very reliable off lead and are stubborn. By crossing you may get a husky that can now run away from you faster. Husky cross greyhounds have been used in sled racing, but I personally would not use a husky cross for hunting, to much worry of getting them back once off lead
  6. I think he's funny. great to watch
  7. IF you know what you are doing there is less chance of messing it up. But I would not encourage anyone to do it themselves , would hate it if a young person came on here and thought it OK do do it there self by reading these posts. They could get it badly wrong or leave it to late and then the pup suffers. That's why there was a law made. To stop any idiot from having a go.
  8. Don't do it yourself its against the law, and if you mess it up no one will want a pup.
  9. I don't mind that she did not give me permission, what I do mind is her being rude, I don't care how many have asked before. No need to be rude
  10. I always keep my dog on a harness and long line, only releasing her at the moment we are close enough to have a good chance of getting a rabbit, and as soon as the chase is over maybe less than a minute, she's back on lead. There are a lot of dog walkers that cross are path with dogs off lead running lose, they chases the rabbits too, only difference is\my dog is under control and there's are not. . I would never let my dog lose near live stock but again I have seen Jo-public do it many times. I think most hunters have more respect for land than the farmers give then credit for
  11. lol was thinking about that
  12. Could it be that the paw hurts when he's walking on it, and he's associating the field with pain? Try putting a sock on the saw paw when you take him out
  13. if you been reading my posts you will know I found a great field for rabbiting, (no live stock in the field or near by) but could not find who owned it. So been trying to track them down . yesterday I found the owner and asked very politely, is it OK to use your field for rabbiting with my dog, ? Before I finished asking, the lady replied†NO SERTANLY NOT. Oh sorry I said I was only asking I don't use a gun just the one dog. No I will NOT have dogs on my land, she said. (good thing she not own to much land ) It really annoyed me that she was so rude, She could have been polite about it. Remin
  14. the man over the back of me has loads of them and I have never herd a peep.
  15. I picked up one like that and it bit me
  16. I thought about getting some but worry the dog will kill um. Anything small and furry and she thinks its kill time apart from cats as she grow up with one.
  17. There is a field near me, I don't have a clue who owns it, (still trying to find out) but its full of rabbits, so if its really getting dark I let her lose. I don't hunt with a gun and I only use the one dog, so I not shore what would happen if she was caught with a rabbit in her mouth by the land owner. I would just say she got lose and then ask permission.
  18. Two old CDs , glue them together shiny side out. Hang them up , good bird deterrent.
  19. Could be from people releasing pet rabbits in to the wild when they don't want them any more, could be breeding with the wild ones and passing on the colour,
