  1. 2nd Hand break barrel. Go for something like a BSA Meteor. Simple!
  2. I can only shoot straight with one can of stella Dave..... With two cans I've no free hands to hold the gun!!!!
  3. Here's a taste of what my .22 Ultra Multishot can do at 30 yards with 5 shots (albiet whilst lying across my patio table! I realised I needed something to scale against and could thing nothing better than to use the tab from the cool tin of Stella I'm drinking!
  4. I was going to post on here that I was sure someone had a LighteningXL for sale. Buy this gun off this bloke! Its an absolute bargain!
  5. Have you received your gun yet? What do you think of it?
  6. Won't it make a huge difference if someone aims near the spine where the pages are all compacted, and someone else shoots near the outer edge, where the pages are looser?
  7. Everyone has their own preference. I've always found the Air Arms Field Diablo to work well in any guns I've owned. Probably a good starting point. I'm of the opinion that domed pellets are the best all round for accuracy and both long and short range killing. Get loads of practice in your garden before heading out to the field. One shot one kill!
  8. Hi Mate, I have an Ultra Multishot and you get about 40 shots out of it. But as people keep commenting "you can't carry more than 40 rabbits!" I'm not to far from you, I live between Coventry and Leamington, you're welcome to come round and try it out. I would definitely advise you give it a go as it is a little unusual as guns go. PM me if you want to arrange something All the best, John
  9. hi mate. I have the ultra multi shot and the whole setup will fit your budget. I can't fault the gun, its great value for the money. It'll kill to 40/45 yards easy
  10. Hi Mate, Absolutely agree with foxon that to keep within the £200 range you need to look at springers. Bear in mind that with a pcp you need at least £100 for either a bottle or a pump, doesn't leave much for the gun Also, bear in mind you need a scope, I'd recommend a decent 4x32 or 4x40, well worth £30ish I'd suggest you go one of two ways - stretch your budget to £240ish and get the BSA Lightening XL (even better if you can get a second hand one, but these guns don't hang around long) - Go looking for a good second hand rifle that was the dogs ballox in its day (Weihrauch HW9
  11. nice shooting. Cattle can be a pain in the arse, but I would never walk away from them. They treat it as a game and join in with a chase. Stare them down while walking directly towards them, they won't like that, same goes for 99% of farm animals. If you are too nervous to do that, then I'd strongly advise not to enter the field at all!
  12. Good man Davy, great shooting. Funnily enough I was speaking to an equestrian yard owner myself yesterday and he was only too glad to have me shooting on his ground. Best of luck to Charlie with the 410K..... maybe now he'll be able to hit the spinner in his garden from a standing position!!! Only joking!!!
  13. Yes please, some more info. Age, colour, location, etc? Also, are these bantams?
  14. just to throw my two cents in here..... I'm sure loads of guys on here have chrono's already plus they will be competent in its use. Would it be worth having a list of "Chrono Owners" for other members to arrange to visit/test/meet up? I'd be happier having someone more experienced stick a chrono on my gun and tell me what I need to know rather than doing it myself and possibly get a false reading?
  15. Hi Aaron, I think people may say its tricky because its a little unusual, but definitely not tricky. Just pull a little lever on the side to release the bolt, at the same time the magazine indexs round one stop. Push the bolt forward and that seats the pellet. Finally, cock the gun using the knob at the front of the stock. I just sat in my garden for 15 mins going through the routine till it became quite natural. Also, I noticed a lot of people saying it tends to skip past some pellets in the magazine. It will only do this if you try to cock it before pushing the bolt forward. (i.e., rele
  16. I had exactly the same thing this morning... This is where a multishot really give the advantage you need to relaod and shoot again nice shooting jon, are you pleased with the BSA regards davy Hi Davy, Yes, definitely enjoying it. I have to admit that due to the lack of recoil and being so silent I was sceptical that it was the same power as my Airsporter... but a few pellets burried into a fence post suggested otherwise! I also tried the SAS silencer and its extremely loud compared to the logun. I think I'll keep it on permantly. I put a post on here earlier with the

  18. I bought a BSA Ultra .22 Multishot from Davyt's mate Charlie at the weekend and I'm seriously pleased with it. I was up early this morning trying to settle an argument between two crows at the back of my house but they both scarpered as soon as I opened the door. However.... there was a magpie sitting on the fencepost feeling cocky. Now, I know the fence post is exactly 35 yards from my back door and I have the rifle zeroed at 28 yards. I pointed the gun at him and aimed where his halo would be in 2 minutes time!!! he wasn't so cocky with a 5 and a half millimeter hole in his head. He
