No problem Tis my fault, I failed to mention that all of my dogs are complete bampots its just that Jazz is the worst cos he hates other male dogs with a passion. He is a big softie with me and he's ok with the bitches but he has to be kept away from Zack and Casper cos he just wants to eat them (typical staffie eh? the above was said by charlie c in a earlier thread what di
  3. you say it because of there temperment, so what about pitbulls x's, very nasty dogs in the wrong hands, any breed of dog will show aggression if allowed to , at the end of the day the buck stops with the owner
  4. people find it easier to judge the dog but not the owners,
  5. we use to do the lakes years ago with a weighted treble but they have tightened the security up nice fish

  8. they just tell me to be more carefull not be caught, the coppers around here aint bothered unless they are called out by the public that goes the same for the landowners unless you go out mob handed or drive the land
  9. i gave him his first rat on friday, he made short work of him to say the least :11: im taking him out after xmas to my pals who has some good ratting farms. ive had lurchers for over 28yrs but this pup has giving me more excitment in a short space of time, im getting the same buzz that i got when i first got a lurcher years ago
  10. the bitch i had was a speedy type but could also stay on , c moyes had the full brother but that was abit of a plodder, mine was due to run in the semi final of the fens cup against j gaskins bitch flossy but she died from a ruptured diaphram 4 days before up until then she had killed 27 out of 28 hares . joe was caught last week at skeggie bolio is was suposed to go but pulled out :11: i told him that i didnt like it down there , thats twice in 2yrs that has happened , i must having the shinning  :11:
  11. if i was you make sure you put boiling water in ye dog food dishes to clean them out, my old dog flint had the exactly same syptoms which was caused by rats pissing in there dishes, he was ok the night before but on deaths door the next day, he spent 3 days on the drip but pulled through ok , the vet thought he had been poisened which nearly caused the death of my niegbour , i always make sure the dishes are cleaned at every feed time from now on
  12. millet you keep saying the breed is fecked up, but if you know your stuff why not breed ye own stuff , thats the only way to get what you want in life
  13. i didnt realise you kept plummers keeps i just thought they were mongrels :11: lovely pets though kc recmend that bitches over 8 yrs shouldnt be bred from it dosent mention dogs

  15. january jack was bred from kippers stuff full brother to cruiser , he's about 13 yrs old now freddy holmes bought him when he was about 4yrs old for breeding , he was a out n out staying type, i had a young bitch that was out of him which was a very decent type but had a premature ending.
  16. go for the saluki x if you want some serious sport with the hares and the deer , but you might have problems finding a working saluki, Over here in the seventies and eighties we got alot of people using show crap to breed from which caused the saluki being labelled untrainable or worse and then they started bringing working blood into the country, they would make an ideal dog esp if hunting in ruff terrain
  17. if its like the ones ive seen at shows i cant see how a dog would benefit or would get fit from doing that, i would think they would end up with strains, but using it over a 150 yrds of straight running it could help. when i used to walk whippets out when i was younger the bloke who owned them used a starter moter off a car, connected to an old bike wheel, but having a muscled dog, it looks good on the show ground, but in the field they will tire alot quicker than a properly conditioned dog. take atheletes , sprinters look good but after each race they are fecked and they can barley mana
  18. you should have cut his fingers off , for having the dog in such a state :realmad:
  19. why not just run the one dog to flush it to the guns , the law dosent say that you HAVE to use 2 dogs
  20. for the past 10 days the ground has been to try and frozen to run the dogs on, this is the time of year is when a dog needs runs before the hare picks up another gear . the forcast is even getting worse for the next 7 days so it back to walking and biking them but you really need the runs to keep them sharp, one of my dogs [jake]has just come back from a bad injury when he was spiked by a steel pin which hold the electric fences in the ground, he had about 8 runs in a week before the weather messed trhings up and was getting really sharp taking most of which he ran, but only having 8 runs i
