Now, this is a sensitive issue so take my word for it when I say I’m treading as carefully as I can. Depends, don’t see them where I live now but when I was still in the U.K. it was based on quick judgements…..if someone looked genuinely in trouble I’d slip them a few quid. Funny, but I always thought it was part of the British character to not be minges about everything. The brutal nature of our working class humour was a mainstay of who we are. I always liked the old adage of “If you didn’t laugh you’d f***ing cry” and I think that’s not a bad way to be. Humour, however savage is subjective and it’s an important (imho) tool in taking away some of poison and horror of terrible situations……there are no clear lines of demarcation, I always just preferred the old fashioned method of you know if you’ve gone too far because someone gives you a dig.

Kings ! f***ing hell…..that name bought back some memory’s ! Sounds like I’m being confrontational mate but I’m not, I just genuinely find it a fascinating subject and like you I hold a strong opinion about it. Theres places you can take kids and family areas in football grounds now and, if people didn’t know already what to expect when rival fans meet, there’s non league. Certain things just “are”……like groups of lads, be that at football or not, knowing when & when not to say something howling (remember gallows humour anyone ?) and when it’s time to be a proper chap……there’s a time and a place, we don’t have to walk round beating ourselves with chains and saying endless Mia culpas because Manchester Utds pilots are about as good at finding a runway as Hoijland is at finding the back of the net ! Well, more to the point what happened to just learning to deal with stuff ? Are we really doing society any favours by trying to protect people from things that are subjective ?……what happened to “it will toughen you up !” No wonder some people say there is a mental health crisis ! As I said, it’s not a dig at Jukel, I just find the whole subject fascinating. We have always had redress for things we don’t like, it’s called “don’t be around it” or if it’s more personal, “a punch in the mouth !” We can do that ourselves, we don’t need to make it a mass movement ! lol

I always find posts like this interesting, not directed at you mate because I see it all the time, but why is there this silly habit of making up an absolutely terrible scenario and then using it in a debate ? Everyone is at it now days. Let’s take your post (and as I say, it’s not just you)……we are all chaps of a certain age, when in any of our lifetimes have any of us seen or heard about a group of people turning up at a random funeral and chanting insults at the deceased family ? I see these people for what they are, but that is completely irrelevant to their character. As in, I wouldn’t believe a word a main party politician says but I would be more inclined to believe what Corbyn or Galloway says even if I fundamentally disagree with it. I don’t trust that Zia Yousef even though he is saying certain things that I absolutely do agree with. Do you remember Micheal Foot ?……would you consider him more honest about his convictions than Kier Starmer ?……I would. The politics and wether we like it have no bearing mate.

I’m sorry mate, but I don’t believe that stating the obvious is even in the same ball park as televising executions…..I personally can’t even begin to make that mental leap…..it’s just not the same mate. I would ask though, what wrong with having a base starting point ?……as in “How many non indigenous Europeans should be here” then the first though is “zero” and we go from there if we want to be all sensible about it……. If we come at this from the point of view that they are, as a matter of fact and not discrimination, all guests then everything else falls into place.
