The “Hogs, Dogs & Quads” DVDs are decent mate, I could get round a bit of that. They are taking like a dozen pigs a morning and stuff running the dogs off the back of quad bikes, it’s mega like ?

I think anyone who has worked closely with pigs will have respect for what those pig dogs do, even a 90lb bull/Arab will get tossed about like cotton wool by a pig if it takes a mind to it.

The most impressive and awe inspiring thing I have heard was by your neck of the woods actually mate, a scientist on the telly had been studying your stretch of the coast line up to Donegal or something. Anyway she was stood at the top of a cliff by this dirty great rock that was as big as a 3 bed semi, she said it weighed about 50 tons or something and she said: ”This used to be down there on the beach when I first started coming here and studying and an Atlantic storm threw it up to the top of this cliff !!” That just blew my mind that did mate

I cleared out Charringtons down there, well it was more Canning Town than Silver Town as you know, bought 250 bays of pallet racking and paid to clear the offices. I remember all the racking fell off the artic at Circus Tavern round a bout on the way home......I f***ing live for days like that ! ?

What does that involve mate?, I thought they was all automated now ? I remember the old signal controllers box and wooden gates in my old town and the bloke sat up there for years, nice steady number like.

That don’t sound too shabby mate, nice few days off in between etc. My pal used to work for Group 4 as a security guard when he got out the army years ago down at Tate & Lyles (or a Charringtons? Can’t remember which now) at Silvertown. Very similar shift pattern and it gave him plenty of free time......then he got caught fishing the canteen takings out of the cash dump bin with a coat hanger and that was that ! Lol ?

I used to go to school and was friendly with a nice girl who got into that industry. She was absolutely sound and good fun to be around, all the blokes used to be round her like a disease when we was in the pub having a drink.....it was embarrassing how they carried on. I always felt a bit sorry for her as it seemed like her mum pushed her to persue it as a career but she seemed comfortable with it. She was a good 1500m runner when we was at school and we were both on the athletics team, she could have done anything but she did that.

Just daydreaming really but I always thought that if I had to have a “proper” job I’d quiet fancy being a mid wife.....I reckon I’d be tidy at that job. Either that or open a real classy swingers club where perverts with more money than sense can shovel me a grand each to come and f**k the granny out of each other while I sit in the corner eating a decent meal and making sure everyone is behaving themselves so to speak. Maybe it’s me being an old fogey but the the last 20 odd years everything got too “professional”.......it was all bits of paper and method statements and young clever c**ts with no idea of a mans word and all that. Life was so much simpler when you opened your mouth and stood on, spread the bit of dough around and everyone was happy. Pub trade is f****d mate, has been for years. The only money in pubs is if you have a decent eatery with it serving very decent grub. My brothers had pubs in the good old days, made a fortune and then got out.....it’s no life for the kids either ?
