You were more posh than me, in 86 I was on the knocker selling door to door, dusters, dishcloths, tooth brushes, ironing board covers. Used to walk miles every day carrying my plastic bread crate full up with kit, used to buy it from a wholesalers in Southend and the mark up was fantastic. Had to be a bit lively on your feet as it was a licensed occupation and I was too young to have a license so we was always dodging the old bill. You get to see some sights mind you !

My pal Stiffmiester will chuckle at this but it was actually very moving and fitting, they just had Clannad on at the end of a poetry and music programme celebrating it. Very pagan stuff.......I love that things like that are preserved

Celebrating the winter solstice over here today, 5000 year old New Grange was the focal point for towns and city’s lighting up public spaces. Poetry and music on the telly. Amazing stuff.

What if you didn’t actively live your life stabbing your country and it’s people in the back then complaining that government are stabbing your country and it’s people in the back ? You always talk sensible mate and I respect that so I’m going to say this to you. The thing that pisses me off is that all these so called “my rights” brigade are about 30 years too late to the party and I just know they will disappear like smoke when it’s all over. There is something very serious going on in the worlds governments and media but it’s not Covid. How very unusual it is for there to be an African with a massive chip on their shoulder about being an African !......that’s never happened before ! Look mate, nothing personal but I ain’t seen my old mum who is 89 with a heart condition in nearly a year. There is 65,000 corpses in the boneyard in the U.K. and 2 million walking deaths sentences to the old and venerable......there are absolute clowns walking about like they ain’t got a care in the world and the virus is raging out of control so I didn’t want to fly over there and potentially bring something into her that may kill her !
