Unfortunately mate, having in the last century been a premier global player (and further back than that THE premier global player) being at war with someone just go’s with the territory. It’s not great but it’s a fact of life, you don’t get to own 2/3 of the globe by sitting on your arse at home and not upsetting people. I actually think Britain should be smaller and poorer, I think it would do this modern version of the country a right favour but the fact is, it isn’t and a grand don’t come for free as they say.

No, they didn’t, we gave up because we was just out the back of the Great War and couldn’t be doing with it. We didn’t have the resources or the stomach for a long and protracted domestic guerrilla war. It was the normal hawks and doves in parliament type stuff.

Can you think of another country that would have allowed a quietly hostile state to facilitate terrorist attacks on its mainland ? Fact is, the Irish military could be defeated with 3 Tornado fighter bombers, and that’s no shit. So yeah, I’d say we showed restraint ?

I have travelled all over Britain mate, and I can hand on heart say that Northern Ireland is the most British place in the British Isles. Having British troops stationed there isn’t even a question in my mind, I know my republican friends on here will take a completely different view of that but for me, it’s a no brainer. My oldest boy has a paki mate at school, they also play on the same football team. His mate thinks it’s hilarious that they are chucking queers off tall buildings out in Islamic states…..that lad has lived in Ireland nearly all his life !! He go’s mental when other kids say to him “Allah is a poof” and all the usual banter kids get upto……point is, he is 14 ! He has lived in a Christian country all his life and he still feels this way ! He isn’t “hand across the ocean” , let’s live by western values…..he is 1st, 2nd and 3rd a Muslim. Nothing trumps that.

Not at all worked up mate, I just find the conversation interesting and it’s my opinion. I’m pretty resigned to the fact that Britain is lost, I think the things you all hated will eventually turn out to be the very things you yearn for. We have had pretty good chats about these type of subjects before and I enjoy them, always good to chat to someone who is completely opposite to your own way of thinking. At no point did I promote any religion above any other in this discussion. But, I realise that modern Europe (and the United States) were founded on Christian values…..not Islamic, not Buddhist or Zoro Astrian…..Christian, and because of that we pretty much look like we do today. Plenty of it is now broken but the west is a Christian model…..that can’t be argued. Nobody is doing a piss up the wall contest about various religions, it’s just a statement of who we are what we are……we are not perfect but at least we ain’t them if you get my drift.

It’s not an obsession, it’s just plain facts as I see them. You subscribe to the hands across the ocean, brotherhood of man philosophies and I don’t…..no great mystery. Another thing I will say is, it’s proof positive of how these people really think. The Taliban didn’t have a force big enough to take over the country in 6 weeks sitting holed up in a base somewhere, it proves these people were sitting there smiling at us all over that country and as soon as the opportunity presented itself they just picked up their assault weapons again and cracked on. It would be exactly the same scenario domestically if the circumstances were right. Islam is not our friend, it can never be our friend…..it don’t want to be our friend, it wants to kill us.

It’s like this, these people (both foreign and domestic) hate us…….they won’t just get their Islamic state under sharia law back and be content, they won’t be able to help themselves but to start ranging out and killing us again. It in their manual and they always stick to the manual.

There you have it ! My old mum was telling me her electric bill is going up by £100+ a year so they said on the telly……she’s 89 and lives alone, if these people could explain how an old age pensioner paying an extra 100 quid a year is helping while we merrily ship millions of tons in from China and destroy mixed pasture at home then I’d like to hear it.
