  1. He is my pal and as my pal I have access to his reports and many awards because we obviously talk about them and I have seen them. Its the difference between knowing and making stuff up mate
  2. Interesting point, so here is my take. Now, I don’t like David Moyes as a manager, I loathe his football, I don’t particularly find his career that much to get excited about…..in football terms, I don’t like the bloke. But if I sat in a room with him and he was talking football I’d listen, and I’d listen out of respect for a bloke who has done something I couldn’t and didn’t and has done it for a long time at the highest level possible …..I’d be self aware and humble enough as a man to understand that, I’d respect the fact that at that particular thing or set of things he is better
  3. Go back to bed, we will call you when you’re needed ! Lol
  4. Well don’t doubt it mate, it’s a fact.
  5. In a land of what’s possible in reality, I would love to see his number 2 replace Moyes and see how that gos.
  6. Of course it’s our fault for buying into that, but you said “breed” and you are nearly right in as much as it’s been imported over decades…..maybe it’s just different ways of saying the same thing.
  7. Now don’t go throwing your toys out the pram, but imho we imported a lot of that mentality because we embraced people who were always that.
  8. Why does it make you squirm to give an honest assessment of blokes ? At this precise second I’m sat listening to Frank Lampard talk about his career and life in football, he is humble in describing how he respected coaches and fellow players in the game and also I can respect him without knowing him when he describes his own standards and how he wanted to conduct himself as a man and a player. His record bares testament to those values. Why does respecting and appreciating a man for what he has achieved make anyone squirm ? That’s a bit of a “key the side of the rolls
  9. And yet, he did just that and very successfully so that sort of knocks that one out of the park. Patently untrue, Officers come from all sorts of backgrounds. They are chosen on merit, that’s not even a discussion. You are aware that the argument for say a private to be paid the same as an officer works in reverse aren’t you ?………maybe we should start paying nurses the same as someone on the dole ? I mean, it’s fair in as much as parity of outcome is concerned isn’t it ? Come on mate, you are smarter than this
  10. You are getting hysterical old chap and it looks a bit silly. First of all, it was a silly statement in the first place wasn’t it, you know that yourself. Secondly, Prince Andrew isn’t actually a nonce is he, I mean that bird wasn’t under age was she. Its all a bit grubby but not intrinsically illegal. Thirdly, whatever you think of the bloke he probably had a better education than some lad off the plot out of the local comp, so yes, eminently more qualified to operate high tech kit and make big decisions.
  11. That will be amazing, fair play to you
  12. I’d imagine it’s much like saying the cleaner at the airport should be allowed to fly the plane !
  13. Looking at the art work I’m seriously doubting the thought process went that far !
  14. Swastika is the wrong way round !
  15. The old woman will be made up when she comes home one day and finds a spray can Bobby Moore on the bedroom ceiling !
  16. To put it another way, we are pretty dour unexcitable people, not exactly world renowned for our positivity whereas Americans seem to be extremely positive, excitable people who all love to get behind something. It seems, and I could be wrong, that when it comes to military service you have a sense of “doing it for America” which is why I asked you if you found it strange that so many lads on this thread were a bit “The country can go f**k itself” Hope that clears it up for you
  17. Don’t know if it makes me weird but that is hilarious ! Lol Dozy c**t ! Lol
  18. Seeing as you and Gnasher (and probably a couple of others) have been door men, you must have seen some sights in you time with birds out of control ? I know the old argument about hitting birds and all that but if a bird is acting like a bloke surely all the rules go out the window ? Pal of mine ended up having a few days in Snaresbrook after a bird tried to bottle him across the head at the bar one night and he laid her out with a right cross ! Lol In those circumstances I personally think he was well within his rights.
  19. Different characters though don’t you think mate, we are a bit more “May as well have a mug of tea, jobs f****d” than “Thank you for your service” and a fly over of F14s don’t you think ?
  20. No, I gathered that ! Lol
  21. f**k me, that’s cheered me right up ! Lol
  22. Dripping in 4 star like a pakis sister at a nightclub ! Lol
