I have worked in or visited almost every City or large town in England, Scotland and Wales mate…..lots of these places were a vision of hell 20 years ago, f**k knows what they must be like now.
-
I absolutely believe it mate, you know yourself being a well travelled man that when it’s comes to tribes, castes, ethnic groups, religious sects that the wogs hate each other the most ! From Indians to Sikhs to Nigerians to Muslims…..from black to Asian, they all prey on or have something against each other. I bet lots of people wouldn’t believe how high caste Indians treat low caste Indians…..they treat them like shit and that in the UK ! One tribe of Nigerians hate another tribe of Nigerians….it’s mental to witness.

The worst is, it’s not even special is it……there are so many places like that now it’s just not true. A lad just moved to my boys school from Leicester, was chatting at football and the lad said “f**k that, too many Pakis”……this lads Albanian !

I used to trim cork to the shape of a chum mixer for surface fishing, it’s all I used. Had fish to 30lb off the top that way, used to do a lot of surface fishing because frankly, other people didn’t ! For some reason most carp anglers can’t seem to get their head round surface fishing. 30lb common off the top on a bit of cork.- 136 replies

Used to be an old chalk pit near me called Arena Essex, lifting with Crays and chocka block with weed. Couple of my pals were fishing there prior to a big fish kill they had and they used those wooden balls you used to buy out of craft shops as pop ups, drilled holes for a hair, left them soaking in bait dip permanently and bingo…..Crays couldn’t touch them. -

Funny you say about bait mate because I always had an interest in how to bait and to what effect. I was lucky in that I used to get field testers rates so I could use it as I wanted. In all the things I have been watching and reading on pike, nobody has used bait to create an attraction area for bait fish !……..I’m thinking a decent particle mix of small seeds coupled with chopped or blended fish as you suggest on clear patches up the side of weed beds may be an idea ? I have also been looking at under water footage of how pike take dead bait and paying attention to the mech -

Never done any Pike fishing to speak of, couple of small ones many years ago but Carp were my thing. However, I have been researching them a bit because I miss my carp fishing and there’s no carp here…..Pike are the biggest thing that swim in the lakes and rivers here so I thought “why not ?” And there’s a bit more to it than cast a dead bait and hope as I always believed, that got me interested. I know they are a traditional winter species but can be fished for all year round so I’m going to have a f**k about when the wether breaks a bit….Neville’s have new battery’s (9 years sin -

What size ? -
@BangersanmashI can in fact confirm this, he showed us the receipt…..Mumbai Curry Centre, 25 sovs a head for a sit down, ask for Ali…….mention McHulls name, he gets a discount. Don’t worry Mc, I’ve got your back mate
-
I have a conspiracy theory, I think your Paki mate at the Mumbai Curry Centre is giving you more discount than you let on ? Lol
-
I think the Bundesliga is getting it right and we will see more and more coaches and directors of football coming out of there…….there seems to be an understanding of what the game should be and how to go about it. Could be wrong ?
-
It’s where football meets money I suppose mate, do you just play the averages for the sake of a balance sheet ?……I suppose you do.…..shit innit! If we go out of the Europa league Moyes is toast imho.
-
I think Chelsea are a great example at the moment of American sport mentality, no thought or process just get the cheque book out. Well, we know, football don’t quiet work like that……it’s why a non league club can knock a 2nd division team out of the FA cup. Football is a lot of factors, the biggest to me has always been mentality and belief…..I have always believed (and it is only an opinion) that if you give a player belief, practice your principals and let him see he can do what he thought he couldn’t and then trust him then they can achieve more than they ever thought they could.
-
Good post mate. I think the conundrum with Moyes is that his anti football style is reaping financial benefits but it’s f***ing awful to look at…..a hard puzzle in an industry that about entertainment (as the premier league product is now) What do you do as a business owner with the European money in your back pocket, sitting at a point in the table of getting that again if you go out of the current competition and yet watching paying punters walk out in their thousands at half time because your product is absolute shit…..Moyes is blessed in this regard and he knows it. I don’t
-
Moyse coaches a “sit & soak” culture, he is all about defending….that’s his speciality at coaching forums, I know, I’ve watched them. You won’t see David Moyes giving attacking coaching classes on coaching networks. The mindset by it’s very definition is a negative culture…..5 days a week that is getting drummed in….practice after practice. Proactive defending takes place further up the pitch, probably the best example is Liverpools “chase” culture….they don’t press, they chase….they actively want the ball, all the time. At some point against teams that really want

They expect to see a team having a go…..same as they have always expected !

The look that says “I wonder if McHull is coming in tonight for his usual ?” Lol
