  6. I was reading that it can be detrimental to let a young retriever pick up feather to early, why is this?
  7. Obama is without doubt one of the best speakers I have ever seen, he is a class act in speeches and interviews.....Romney is no where near as skilled in that department but he is a real businessman who knows how to run companies and lives in the real world economic wise, he running mate Ryan is also a breath of fresh air in the leftish type political class of today. I hope to see the back of Obama as a lefty running the crown jewel of capitalism is very bad news IMHO

    Dog trainer

I would imagine the majority of folk who go to dog trainers are looking for the off the shelf, fast food fix for their animal.....IMHO any trainer worth their money would need a good amount of time to get to know an animal correctly
  9. Haha, old hands and lazy fuckers......soon spot those type and make sure they end up in a dew soaked 6 ft high cover ! Lol Cracking thread lads, one of the best I have read for ages on here

    Dog trainer

its funny that you mentioned apdt they are crowd that actually put me off recommending dog classes to anyone, so far up their own arse's, with no real understanding of the canine mind and no reference to drive what so ever, every recall was based on providing treats, perfect for a Yorkshire terrier but useless for anything with any sort of drive, i would think most decent owners of driven dogs have a better understanding of how it effects their mutt than most of those snake-oil salesmen, Fair one matey, I would think a decent amount of animal sense is the best qualification
  11. I log on here.......... or watch west ham..... Zzzzzzzzz............

  17. Them beavers look a tool
  18. And your point is?......I once traveled 500 miles and managed one run with my dog, so what? his point is he would travel anywhere to put the game in front the dog,and hes dog did get a run,but was lame after as the dog hit some flint. Fair enough, to be honest I wouldn't even get the dog out of the truck on some of that flint down there, it's lethal.
  19. And your point is?......I once traveled 500 miles and managed one run with my dog, so what?
  20. The trouble is, if folk start to get up to the higher tax threshold then many of them can't see the point in letting the tax man take half their hard earned, they would rather have the time off. That's " fairness" for you!!
  21. As someone already said and like it says in a few books I believe it was a saluki grey. There could also be a book written about a deerhound cross and a Wheaton cross that I have seen graft, both exceptional at their game, dogs that teach you what ordinary is. As Butler said, it's not the cross its the amount of work you put in front of it then a dog either will or it won't.
  22. Are folk imagining half this stuff?.......I have never heard the owner once " big" any of his dogs up.....ever! He has spoken fondly of the dog but that's not the same thing, as has been said he just gos out of his way to graft in front of his dogs as do a lot of lads. It's October and folk have f**k all better to worry about than a dead dog who somebody else used to own?....seriously?
  23. not in ireland there not, plus there is european and american members aswell But unfortunately hes asking for pics and pics can be traced to ip address. As said theres no pitbull crosses on here. But i dont think a pitbull lurcher would come under a pitbull type. Doesnt matter they will still take it. I know the head of the local dangerous dog unit been round mine a couple of times about another dog i got. Hes seen my bull lurcher plenty of times never said a word even when hes been abit beat up. So no they wont allway take them. But thats because its a staff cross right
