  1. Whats the breeding of that Bedlington Meerihunter?
  2. Used to know a lad who had a Lab x Grew in the 's. The dog was about 27 tts, powerfully built, he called it Darkie (wouldn't be very politically correct these days) It was lethal on Hares, Roe, and mental for Foxes.
  3. One or two game Beddies still out there. Good luck with yours Bedlingtonmiller. How is he bred?
  4. The one and only ..............
  5. You are gonna have to be real quiet and stealthy, and when the time is right, throw that net at the fox. Good luck.
  6. Bedlington X Basset .... They should be easy to train then.
  7. Pregnant? i'd say yes..as for the hound types bedlingtonxteckel? I think she is, but not 100% she does look it one minutem then the next day not.... not teckel, summit else... ??? I feckin hope so. :clapper: :clapper:
  8. YOURE JOKING RIGHT ? PMSL youre right i never dug anything but water pipes i was takin the mick to see reaction thats all Of course you were.
  9. 13" and it probably ain't a Bedlington !! * 14"- 15" for bitches * 15" - 17" for dogs I wouldn't take a small one at the expense of a decent head and jaw. Spannable would be great, but lets not forget that this (in pure form) was never meant to be an out and out earth dog. And therefore is generally a larger unit than your average Lakie or Russel type. A good coat is a must for me - and its no coincidence that the darker the dog, the better the coat. But with that said, even the best Beddy coat is shite compared to his Lakie,Patt, Border cousins. A laid back p
  10. OOPS! You're off to a bad start Fellman. Seriously, I hope Steve (DS) is gonna be ok.
  11. The king is dead...long live the king. Looking forward to some good stuff Fellman.
  12. Can't go along with that Fellman. His posts were always interesting, ok, sometimes a bit profound, but you could almost hear him thinking aloud. I reckon he is quite an intelligent guy - personnel hygene doesn't come into it. Strange that you are so disparraging of him. You actually sat down and thought about it and all you could call him was a "KNOB" how very eloquent of you. I look forward to you filling the void that DS has left, with some educational posts of your own.
  13. Hey Langley, go lamp a few rabbits, then stick em on your head.... they might look like hares from a distance.. Seriously guys, this one has run its course.
  14. Lovin that pic of Coisty laughing at the ginger dwarf. :clapper: :clapper:
  15. Exactly Kev, And all this bollocks about them being mute . :secret: I'd be just as well going and knocking on the keepers door and saying "I'm just going on your land for an hour or so" Because mine goes off like a fooking foxhound when he sees anything.
  16. And so another Bedlington thread disintegrates into chaos and name calling. Let me end this now by saying Bedlingtons are not, have never been, and never will be lamping dogs. I reckon mine is as quick as any, but I'd have starved by now if I relied on him catching me rabbits.
  17. The other side of the coin is Strongstuff is a nice fella who offers a real and valuable service to the hunting fraternity, at a very reasonable price. (just compare his prices for top quality gear compared to the big pet stores etc for their cheap disposable tat). So I guess it is entirely reasonable for him to expect to make a few quid from an event.
  18. I think we should put this one to bed now, and hopefully learn from it. Yes we were a bit surprised that the show wasn't "Game fair sized" and this was probably because we clicked on the Penmanaeu website before we went, and saw gamefair sized pics of cars parked etc. I traveled over 300 miles round trip to go to the show, and on reflection was glad I went. At the end of the day, we met up with some familiar faces and had a good craic. Some good dogs on show, and the setting was just fantastic. And all for a fiver. Roll on next year.
  19. Had a great day out, but have to agree, the size of the show was vastly over exaggerated. Had to do a double take when I saw Robert Plant at ringside watching with interest the Beddies and Beddie lurchers.
