Thanks Wilf,Simo and Moo plus others it's much appreciated...i've been out 3 times with my dogs today but as and when i get 10 mins i like to have a look on here and see how folks have been doing but what annoys me at times is "grown men" who really should know better?..idiots such as Gokart trying to tell me how and what my dog was capable of?..f**k me if you were a novice at this game you dare hardly ask for advice on here where as it should be one of their 1st port of calls? As Toyah Willcox once sang Ray "It's a mystery" lol..his sire was Minshaw's Blue and his dam was a border collie..Blue was lurcher x lurcher with "whatever" it was in his blood but there was collie in him so Bulpa was roughly 5/8 collie as is our current recruit Don and also a dog i had bred out of Bulpa and the bitch called Jess in the pic with Bulpa on the 1st page of this topic called Patch..the old un's have long since gone to the happy hunting grounds in the sky but were grand servants and young Don is doing ok so far...all ugly feckers but they do for me and my lads ATB Andy. Doe,s he stalk when oot mooching daytime ? . No not at all just if you take him and Swift on the beach or suchlike for a runaround then he will and he'll do the collie crawling on the belly malarkey and hiding behind bushes etc lol but when mooching,ferreting or lamping he has NEVER stalked or suchlike. To be honest Johnny apart from in looks he shows very little in Collie traits,well not when lamping anyways,he never stalks or tries 'herding' his quarry....well not yet anyways lol. ATB Andy

Ugly mutt lol and Yeti the Don dog (also an ugly fecker) we have now is very similar in breeding to the Bulpa dog..ATB Andy. Venus & Don..both have Bulpa as one of their grandparents.

It was a bitch called Jess.. Dad had her running same time as Bulpa she was the bitch that done 27 hares in a night with another dog.. Dad will tell you more in detail about her! Jess was out of a 3/4 Grey/Collie called Nipper which HBG owned and her dam was called Lou who was out of Blue x Darkie who herself was out of a different dog called Nipper (sire to Blue) x Grey . I owned the dog Yeti like my lad Frankel said...i have hundreds of pics of the dog lol..he wasn't in all honesty worth a second glance haha..ugly as feck but he wasn't a bad dog at all...best i've owned upto press anyways;;i'll dig one or two out for you to have a gander at. He'll be 3 on 21st March 2012 mate ..he's Venus's 1/2 brother as they both have the same sire (sadly now gracing the big fields in the sky) but i'm pleased to see his "young guns" are still amassing some handy hauls .ATB Andy. Would there sire have been Jack? Yeah,it was Johnny...he's bred these two who's amassed 90 bunnies between them last night and also Ginny my lads bitch which we got off Josy who along with Tomo's other bitch Tara caught a 100 rabbits between them in a night and he sired plenty of other dogs who are real handy at one or two other spheres of the game PLUS he

Yeah your right Tomo some f****r would do that .... and Nighteyes we maybe tempting fate here but touch wood the dogs have sustained nothing untoward upto press by running on tough terrain in parts of the Dales SO far...fingers crossed i ain't spoke to soon lol..our dog Don cracked a bone in his hind leg last winter and it's always in the back of my mind when he's running but one thing is for certain i won't wrap him up in cotton wool...it's not my style and not his either..what will be will be? When your running that amount mate it's not rocket science that you'll get some easy ones BUT also some hard ones too...some of the terrain is harsh infact very harsh and running on this imo at the least equals out the easy catches you may endure because it can and will take it's toll on a dog running up and down dale for 6 or 7 hours no matter what cross you have? Just want to say a big thanks to Tomo for our invite once again,as always we have a bit of banter and me fecking falling and getting absolutely shit up no doubt brought a smirk or two lol..dogs ran grand,i was mighty impressed with Venus last night and have been for her past 6 or 7 trips,holy shit is she running well and her staying power is now becoming part and parcel of her C.V ...that bitch oozes a touch of class where as our cur Don is nothing out the ordinary lol but he can fill the game bag so he does have a purpose of a sort?
