  1. Less than 3 months after breaking his neck he was back out hunting with his old fella..dogs are resilient creatures & none more so than a lurcher ?
  2. I carried him into the garden and although paralysed he still wanted to play with old Fenn
  3. This was what I had to endure constantly for weeks..
  4. This was him after breaking his neck..
  5. The chicken carcasses are generally just from young chickens and are easily eaten/digested by dogs when raw buddy, they are quite soft..I even feed them to my pups from 6 weeks old
  6. I used to get mince chicken from Frank's,it came in two 9kg slabs so 18kg per box..it was for years £5 per box so only about 12p per lb but the last time I bought it I think it was £7 per box, still cheap at that though, the boxes of chicken carcasses are handy from there too..now I just get 18.5kg bags of minced meat/offal from the Abbatoir for a tenner, picked about 120lb of scran up yesterday for £30
  7. Back in September of 2018 I bred a litter of pups from my lurcher Boots,he's basically a 5/8 Grey & 3/8 Saluki & a 5/8 Grey 3/8 Bull bitch called Roxy my son owns..last season was obviously their 1st working & to say it's been a rollercoaster of a ride with them would be an understatement, the dog pup Bear started away beautifully, taking everything in his stride no matter what I put in front of him,he's a big brute of a dog standing 28tts & weighing 43.19kg or 93lb in layman's terms, fantastic temperament on him, just a lovely dog to have around, sadly in December he broke his nec
  8. Lovely looking animal is that, really nice type, best of luck for the forthcoming season, if the dog works as good as it looks your on a winner ?
  9. That's what I call a bargain Davey ?..i'm not going to lie I don't feed my lot the real high quality meat I once did,I just don't work them hard enough to warrant it these days..the dogs all look reasonably fine but I know we're I working them to the extremes come the winter they would certainly be lacking.. My pup Bella last evening ?
  10. Hey up D fella, aye old Don is still here bud ?,he's in grand order, still thinks he's a pup although his next birthday will be his 12th, he has a litter of pups on the ground that will be starting away this season, so be good to see how they go..aye all my lads are still going 100% strong with the dogs bud, terriers & lurchers is all they are about D..they've been really successful at what they do so much so that word of mouth through the farming and landowners community has seen them amass large swathes of permission throughout the county to be able to work their dogs..in this day & a
  11. No she's not but she had been in 2 homes by the time she was 9 months old through no fault of her own, lads who owned her both had a littermate to her & both chose to keep the other so I gave her a home as I didn't want to see her on the dog merry go round especially without seeing what she could do, she was a little nervy initially but me being her 3rd owner without her breeder by the time she was 9 months old was quite understandable, she's grand now though, she has the same dam as two other relatively young dogs I have here in Bear & Rose, sadly Bear broke his neck out working in Dec
  12. Bella she's a 5/8 3/8 who will be 12 months old next week, she's already bumped into a few odds & sods on our daily exercise wanders..she is 100% going to do what's asked of her if early indications are anything to go by ? She's bred off serious animals so I'm expecting her to be half decent at the least ?
  13. I'm still breathing matey, few too many old & knackered dogs but still we keep on keeping on Joe ?
  14. Good luck with the pups Jake lad..Troy has been & still is a great workhorse of a dog,he's certainly no one trick pony I can assure anyone of that. I've seen him grafting & he's the real deal for sure,I've also seen Misty working & she put bodies on the ground in style, one which sticks in my mind was her giving her quarry somewhere between 400-600 yards start on seriously testing ground ,she reeled it in & it was game over! Breeding is all about trying to improve on what you have & if these pups can better their parents then they should make absolute toppers! Best of luck t
  15. I will give you the fooking thing if you like it that much..I will even deliver the c**t..pm your address
  16. No he never mate,he's got plenty if you ask me lol
  17. These pups ain't even 1/4 Bull mate, they are 3/16 so not a lot in them really..I had Mario at the time Fenn had pups so wanted to press on with him as he was just a 1st season dog but alas he fell ill & died just gone two years old had I known what was to happen I'd of certainly kept a pup out of Fenn..honestly I've not had one bad word regarding that litter other than that one was difficult to house train, everyone seems happy with what they got out that litter & if the dogs keep the owners of them sweet well I'm delighted with that, three people who got pups out of Fenns litter came ba
