  1. Wow,smashing pup, he looks very like the pup i have, same white blase on his chest with the couple of white toes, sounds like the same eating habits as well, eats like a horse, the poor jack russell here doesnt know what hit her, couple of weeks ago they were same size now he's double her and the power in him for 13 weeks is something else,i put that down to the sire ,those coursing dogs are real powerhouses, i ll try to get a few up of the pup, best of luck with him willie,
  2. It looks a nasty one,but im sure it will heal ok, the only thing i would be slightly worried about is , it will be very difficult to keep clean and prevent infection, just for piece of mind, a visit to the vet might help ,maybe give her a shot of something, i knew their skin was light but how did she manage to get that...
  3. your right bud, that would be the main reason i dont do it,or catching a doe when shes at her lowest after having a litter, morally it doesnt sit well with me, hunting is so much more than killing,.
  4. when would you say is the best time is to release rabbits. This time of year would be good,it would give them enough time too settle in before spring when breeding starts, but i cant see it as an option for your long term hunting, sounds like you need to travel further afield bud,
  5. Letting out rabbits is not realistic in the long term, where are you going to get the rabbits from to release,if your able to get them in one place ,why bother with the spot that has none..
  6. Thats a great looking pup, smart and bright ,how is he bred, have a 3/4 bred pup myself but he doesnt have the coat on him of your pup, would prefare if he had, like a bit of skin on them.
  7. Bang on there bud couldnt agree more,
  8. For me having had terrier crosses in the past and more recently collie lurchers ,terrier lurchers ,3/4 not first cross are the ones for me, i like to know that should a fox appear on the beam at least the dog would not be found lacking which i have found with some other crosses, too much brains in a dog is nearly as bad as too little, a dog that commits first before thinking too much, it is what i like in a lurcher
  9. a dog that gives 100% ,dont care how its bred, bow legged with bad breath doesnt matter, must be honest.
