cubs grow into foxes, so it makes sense to get them quick befor the real damage starts but i suppose it depends on the enviroment. Any cubs seen on the syndicate am in would be shot on sight, this is all in game presivation.

i agree with zini. if the skems are causing a problem they are pests so need to go and so can the doves if they are collared. i am normally a shot gunner but enjoy a it time out with the airgun round the barns and pens up the shoot, all good fun. stop preaching
One of my patterdales got stole last night in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area but after a few phones calls to a few of the lads the dog got returned in the early hours of this morning. As a few staffys have been stole lately just thought i would put this up as a warning to people in the area to be extra careful.

always shoot infront of a moving bird and under a bird thats dropping in is the advice i got giving when i first started about 15 years ago. i always try to take the birds at about 30yards so the pattern can open. a few shooting lessons wont hurt and could save alot of frustration
i mainly keep gundogs as i am part of a pheasant syndicate and carry out alot of the pest control on the shoot ( digging ect).i also take lads out on the shoot frequently with thier lurchers for a bit lamping and as i have plenty of land to go at i am going to get a lurcher myself. my mate has offerd me one of his pups for free which will be a 3/8 5/8 bull cross. we have all types of quarry on land (which will be shot and retrieved.....) and was wondering on other opinions if these will be up to the job as i am more then willing to pay for a different breed if this is not going to be the one f
not meaning to pick a argument here but if you been "brought up with it all your life " as you say surely you would know the about the ban and what it entails?
my lab done this when she was about 10months, after i had trained her to walk to heel and was training to walk to heel off the lead. as soon as i let her off she would go mental. i used to be firm with her then put her back on lead and start again. maybe you hace progressed to fast with this dog? just a thought

32g 5's do the job. like brno17 said go for the front end. i try not to shoot them running away from me prefering to wait for it to turn, if it dosnt then so be it
was out today, field was blue when we got there but waste of time, fire once and there all gone. shot two all day. going to knock it on the head until april/may when the flocks break up, maybe do a bit of roost shooting to fill in the time
i nearly shit because i put her in the van and she was fine, got her out and she could hardly breathe. All swelling is nearly down now, jst been giving her half a hayfever tablet twice a day
Was out with my lab lastnite around a flight pond where she has been loads. when i got her out of the van her lips were very swollen and one of her eyes were almost closed. i took her to the nearest vets which was a PDSA but because i am not on housing benifits they would not see to me even though i said i would pay. Got to a 24 hour vet and they told me it was an allergic reaction and to bathe it with cold towels even tho i mentioned i had seen a couple of toads the previous day even tho it was freezing. Has anyone else came across this and would it be worth getting a second opinion. the dog
was pigeon shooting this afternoon and shot a pigeon the had a hard lump in its breast which squeezed out after skinning. it was black with yellow puss round it . the pigeon also had loads of shit stuck on its arse end. just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this?
