    got in touch with BSA technical dept and they said not to remove rail block,its there for purpose.also phoned a few RFD and they told me same answer. any one else got BSA lightning se grt and thought same thing?

    Hi Matt how's things buddy? can you please tell me the last 2 batches of lens I've ordered I've had to dremill the diameter of the lens for it to fit my mates 501b ultra fire?is this normal because the lens you kindly sent me for mine simply fell into torch head?cheers Mike

    I remember when i was about 15(44 now)i went out lamping local with a cibee spot and car battery in a rucksack on my own,i came to first field switch lamp on and there right in front of me with his face right up to lamp was a mate of mine out lamping himself! I don't know who screamed the most out of us both!prob him lol he was blinded.still have goosebumps thinking about it and a little giggle.

    Got to say it does look alot better,mine looks similar to yours before you altered it.I'll have to pull rifle out and take a look,i think there's a rail under block obviously the block is there just in case a scope with a larger objective lens is fitted? Is that right ? It says on BSA website its to dampen shock? I have tried to phone BSA today but no answer so I've email them to see if better without block.I'm glad i seen your thread

    I think i might have done same thing.I've fitted scopes but thankfully haven't zeroed them yet.I've got BSA lightning se grt and have fitted hawke sport hd 3-9x40's but to me they also look abit high with hawke 2 piece medium mounts.so the closer the barrel the better with the front objective.I've fitted them on top of the scope block that came as standard with the gun. could i remove the block with star keys and fit the scopes directly onto gun? To lower scope height?

    Very happy with scope.only down side magnification ring adjuster a little stiff.other than that a good quality scope

    Answered your own question the bop and magpies are clearing up the roadkill.never though of that ! I'm so thick on times

    I travelled up to new quay west wales and back over the weekend all through windey country roads,Brecon Lampeter llandovery and didn't see one roadkill are rabbits,foxes and badgers on the decrease or just getting road wise? Did see plenty of birds of prey(Alive) especially red kites.great to see :-)

    I hate it when these so called reps in town and city centres with their little podium and matching jackets and smiles try to rope you in to save money lower energy prices they seem to prey on old and vulnerable people.if they approach me gas/electric i always tell them i fiddle my energy and im directly connected up from outside via any meters they soon back off ! try it next time.better the devil you know.

    Well people you'd never believe the difference now I've modded my torch up with Matt's lens and painting the reflector black,what a huge difference in beam tightness and throw fair play. Matt and Tom have been so helpfull with their knowledge and time CHEERS LADS

    Has anyone else noticed but this channel has gone rubbish?now im not into horses but where's the other country interests shows gone?its just horses horses and more horses!

    Im waiting on one back off eBay £4.29.its the one with Velcro straps,I'll give it a go ordering my scopes and mounts from Uttings next Tuesday. Hawke 3-9x40 sport HD all kitted out then got my gun case back this morning from JS Ramsbottom,oh the joys of eBay :-)
