  3. No worries bum bandit.....send me your addy and I'll get one over to you. Not sure how you'd get one over in Britain. I got mine from the bloke himself. I know you can get them in hunting shops over here.
  4. Not the sort of dogging you mean you dirty b*****d My mrs is the sort of bird that knew nothing about hunting and was a little reticent about it if anything. This was more to do with the people she knew who hunted rather than any objection to hunting itself. She was a bit non-plussed really. I took her for a walk with the terriers and lurchers when we were "courting" and the first course she saw she was shouting my collie cross on like she'd been hunting all her life We've got a lurcher here with a belly full of pups so once they pop out I'm thinking of suggesting we keep a couple rath
  5. Should make some nice steaks in a year or two
  6. I got this book recently and it's by a fella called Ted Mitchell and it's all about hunting game over in Australia with bows, blades and rifles. There's sections on Sambar, pigs, wild dogs, Chital, Fallow, wild bulls etc. It's a superb read from a really knowledgeable bloke. This fella has done the lot. He changed over from a longbow to a crossbow after a car accident but he never let it stop him hunting. If any of you are even remotely interested in pigging, or bow hunting, or deer hunting....it's a fantastic read. Top book for those interested in big game hunting the hard way
  7. I've pm'd you Steve....saves me hijacking Wilfs thread

  11. Just relaxing having a few Magners before the big day.....
  12. It's a doddle of a job though Johnny and when you've finished you'll have a bomb proof lamp. All you need is a soldering iron mate. How's that cage? Have you used it? I could do with that over here with my pups on the way Get your handset of your lamp mate...At the end of the lead that connects to the battery, cut away the end bit, leaving the bare wires. Solder a couple of spade ends to the wires (colour coded to correspond to the terminals on the battery). Tape any exposed wire up with insulating tape. Take the female housing attachment off the battery and put to one side. You'll n
  13. no there crap, best to give it to me and i'll bin it for ya thanks lads Are these the lamps that have electrical problems ie: with the connections/cables????? I had murders with mine mate. I ended up taking the male and female connectors off and soldering the spade end connectors straight to the wires on the hand set i.e. getting rid of the fuse section. Not had one problem since mate.
  14. Absolute tragedy and one that really puts into perspective the danger of what the car lamping lads do. My sincere condolences to the families involved

  16. This is a pure bull which I broke to ferrets when he was about 3 years old. It was a trial, but we got there. I could never trust my other one around them at all. She was alsways checking on me to see if I was looking I would always try and get youngsters around the ferrets if you can. It's so much easier that way.
  17. Great pics Gimpazoid! All of my dogs be they terriers or lurchers have worked on water....all except the wheaten cross bitch...she wouldn't go near it for some reason. But she would take it on land when she could My current lurcher has taken loads of pheasants and ducks and is steady as a rock with poultry. It pays to get the hard work done in the early months

  22. I'm guessing you don't know too much about digging or terrier work in America? They tend to favour a smaller dog over there as groundhogs make up a lot of the diggable quarry.
  23. Glad they came good for you Phil
