    That's not Mel is it?
  2. That's no miles for a Cruiser of that year. ARB are pricey mate, but it's good kit. What are you looking for in terms of accessories? As long as you've got the right tyres and you know what you are doing with the gear box, you're pretty much going to get most places you need to.
  3. If it's a clulite, f**k the female housing off from the battery. Cut the male housing off and solder two spade ends to the wires. These fit directly on the battery terminals and they do away with the whole fuse housing etc I found the fuses and stupid wiring accounted for all the lost nights for me. Those fuses I use to buy from Tandy were a load of German shite
  4. I hear what you are saying Tomo, but Boxer and Dane are probably put into a few mixes not for their hunting ability, more for their propensity to hang onto things. Having said that, the traditional dogs used a while back were Cattle/Bully or Bully/Boxer. Boxer seemingly have suprisingly good noses so it seems. My best mate (FJager on here) lives in cattle country and on the land we hunt there's an old boy who uses a Kelpie/Cattle cross and a Blue Heeler. The Kelpie/Cattle dog is something to behold....a truly amazing cattle dog. I'm a big fan of Kelpies and ACD and I'm lucky enough to be aroun

  14. Geoff....that's easier said than done. We shoot the dingo's on sight, but there's always more to take their place. Lantana is blamed on the poms but I've never seen it in England....it's like a weird variety of Elder
  15. I've deleted a few posts on this thread. Keep it real people and watch what you say please
  16. Someone asked the other day when Jonathan Darcy's new book is coming out..well it's coming out on Monday 29th October This book differs from it's predecessors in so much that it's full colour throughout with some fantastic photographs for all you digging lads. It's also written completely by JD with some great tales of digs and of terriers, some of which we've all heard of over the years on various sites. One or two of you will recognise yourselves in the book too It's a hardback book and it's going to be a real addition to a terrier mans book collection. There's only going to b
  17. It does look a bit like a skirt doesn't it? It's this seasons must have lamping wear...board shorts and dealer boots
  18. We then went out in the evening in the Land Crusier to see if we could get somemore for the pot. We saw a few bits and pieces about, including wallabies and possums and some kangaroo rats At the end of the day we are doing a pest control round for the local farmers and supplying ourselves with good grub in the process. We'd have liked to have dogged them, but we were out of appropriate dogs until my bitch is ready to go again. Got home today and there's a hare in the oven as we speak
  19. Went over to FJager's place yesterday afternoon for a spot of shooting. My lurcher bitch is still on her pups so I couldn't take her with me so it was to a jaunt out with the rifle. We headed out mid afternoon in the Disco and we saw a few bits and pieces about. FJager thought he might know where some wild goats were, so we went off road for a little while. Took the Disco up a steep bluff and as guaranteed, the goats where there. We didn't shoot any as the land owner wants them bred up as they keep the lantana down. The trouble is though, the dingos are killing all the kids We had a f
  20. I believe that Christianity is a farce and is responsible for an awful lot of persecution over the years. I believe more in leprechauns than I do in Jesus. The British people are essentially pagan and always have been, hence the need to dress Christianity up in pagan clothes..it's all absolute nonsense in my opinion. What is important is faith and I would never criticise a man for his faith. The Wasteland changed it all for me when I was 17...spirituality is the essence, whatever it is. If a man believes then fair play to that man.
  21. There's no back end on that poor bugger
  22. I tried it with a Staff x and a whippet but it didn't come off. For the work I used to do I had high hopes for that cross.
  23. You could say that! Mate, there's about 10 colour monthly magazines for hunting over here. Joe Public are far less brainwashed by the anti/RSPCA brigade over here. Plus there's the fact that there are real problems here that need sorting http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7042879.stm
  24. Plenty of foxes mate but we haven't been on them. Few dingos too but we'll use other methods for those
  25. Si....one might be going to Tassy to a member on here and the rest are advertised on the pig hunting sites. Wilf, you and Danny might see them on game next year hopefully My mrs hairdresser got me and FJager some new land today where they have a slight problem with hares and Red Deer too, but I think that might be a job for mr .303
