  10. They make excellent collars for the big dogs which I have used for about eight years. As for the patts, I was offered dogs to take to Australia in 2002 by Tobias and he's a straight up bloke. I think a lot of there gear is down from Miner. They used to have a forum but it was mostly yanks and europeans arguing about this, that and the other
  11. This is a letter from George Newcombe from October 1990 to the Working Terrier and Running Dog magazine....... "The purpose of my letter is to try to dispose of some of the incorrect misleading statements that have been made, and are still being made about my Rillington strain of Bedlingtons. Not only would action be beneficial to me but also to all the genuine people who won Bedlingtons. Readers of this magazine who also take the shooting News, will recalled that a while ago Brian Plummer wrote an article in Shooting News on the Bedlington whippet lurcher decrying it and stating it ha
  12. can't remember what came first...the dogs or the fishing....but I was given a cork handled spinning rod when I was six (which I still have) and going to a place called Johnny Bess Beck and catching perch. I was taught about a plumb and bait and strike and I've never looked back. I was given terriers when my great grandad died and they were borders but they threw the odd black which suggests they had a bit of other blood in there too. I have pictures from the 1940's of my family with dogs you'd call patterdales these days so I suppose they are in there somewhere. We ran racing whippets on p

Sounds like you live in a very similar place to what I do now T........very slow pace of life and we're all the better for it. The biggest excitement we get round here is when we see Dingo's and then we all rush to get the dogs out We've got a trip back to the UK for next year but after that we'll be over. Have you still got Spider? How is that hound type doing that you adopted out when I was there? I would have taken that in a shot All the best y

Mate...Time for Action was Secret Affair....and it's a beauty Their first album was an absolute classic and I still love it. Saw The Lambrettas in Chatham in 1994....they weren't up to much Saw Stiff Little Fingers in Brixton in 91 I think.....with Bruce Foxton on bass and they were amazing I've still got the first Benny I ever bought and it still fits me I bought it in 1987 and it was when they were as rare as rocking horse shit. You had to go The Cavern in Ganton Street in Soho (just off Carnaby Street) back then to get them but you can buy them anywhere these days. The Cavern

    The 80's

We all wanted to be like the older lads and we craved burgundy sta-press and docs. I begged my mam for a skinhead and boots and she relented when I was six! Fair play to her though, she got me the ten-holer jobs! I wasn't mich interested in music from the time as I was listening to all 60's and late 70's gear. The Dance Craze live two tone album, Purple Hearts, Secret Affair, Squire, Costello, Squeeze, The Jam (beoke my heart when they split) of course and even Merton Parkas....although You Need Wheels is atrocious listening back to it The 's music that really pricked my ears up was stuff
  25. Cheers mate.....all done now and we had a cracking day
