  1. What is your jab like Mr Brindle ?.....the way i see it your going to get dragged into facing Fury as well so i figure we could have a bit of a tag team effort you soften him up with the jab before i steam in with the straight right ?.......either that or i,ll jump on his back and you can tickle his feet ! To be perfectly honest i dont know what sort of shape Sam Sexton is in these days but the kid Hughie Fury hasnt fought anyone close to his calibre yet.......i was ringside for his first fight with Larry O just before he got banned .....he got stopped on cuts if i remember right.....seem
  2. sam sexton lol we can get him to fight tys old dad for a few quid tell him if hes still up for it .if he goes a bit green around the gills ,tell him we give him 2/1 odds lol Alright Bookies....just thought Sexton would be a better test for young Hughie than the 14Xlosers he was fighting last year...Sam being a regular sparring partner to the current world heavyweight Champion...and at least a name British boxing fans know...thought you boys was talking top 10 British...obviously you mean Top 10 world rated contender!...look forward to it...like i said not got a bad word to say about Hughi
  3. Bombardier Colonels choice..nice out of the fridge...but Tescos seem to of stop selling... b*****ds!
  4. Adnams Broadside out of the bottle 6.5%...good session beer

  6. Top 10?...next time i'm having a fry up in Sam Sextons cafe i will ask him what hes up to in July...think he could be a good test at this point in their careers
  7. ye i agree. theres still some fights in RB. looked good when he could get some distance and get his punches off...reminded me a bit of Tony Sibson, Kev Finnegan and those Brit fighters i enjoyed as a teenager Great era for British middleweights that was i know Minter raves about how tough Kevin Finnegan was and with 45 rounds against him he should know........and his brother Chris was no slouch either. My uncle worked with Chris and Kevins cousin...and went to a lot of Chris's fights..he said that they both really loved a good piss up...Hagler said Kev was the toughest he ever
  8. What did his mate have to say about the Hagler matches??...bit of controversy over them matches...1st one Kev was badly cut but looked to have the beating of Hagler...Kev wanted to carry on...the doctor said he could...but Micky Duff insisted he was pulled out...strange Duff should come on all caring as Kev looked to be winning!....he then took the rematch with only 8 weeks to recover...obviously got stopped when his cuts opened again ...who ever was advising him didnt have his best interests at heart...as said previously...Hagler and Minter both said Kev was the toughest they ever fought
  9. I bet joshua does 10-12-15 rounds sparring regular? name me a pro fighter that doesnt ? and as for how many rounds do i think hughie will go :hmm: do you honestly believe that joshua would beat hughie .Larry Holmes was once slated for going over against Renaldo Snipes .Holmes response ,the sign of a champion when he gets of the canvas to win . it be interesting to see how joshua responds when hes in with some one whos breathing .Bruno a very powerful man once tagged that was him . he was like a man with twenty pints in side him .David Price another impeccable amateur record every one s

  11. When you have middle names like " Oluwafemi Olasenji " or whatever it is.....i dont think a tattoo is giving you away as being Nigerian do you ......much as we Brits would all like to think pure British heritage can win for Britain those days are gone i want Josh to win a world title just as much as i wanted big Frank to......sport is just about the only place i dont see the colour of a mans skin and maybe thats shame on me.....but its also the beauty of sport i suppose. Not sure where your going with the Tyson thing......i mentioned the fact he fought plenty of poor opponents at the star
  12. No I think it will be fantastic is he gets to the top and does us all proud, I haven't said that I haven't once, my point is hughie fury is also another up and coming prospect that will do this country proud and no body is bothered about him. Then why arent you banging on about Dillian Whyte and Gary Cornish??...are they not up and coming British Heavyweight prospects?...is it just that you've heard of Hughie Fury because hes a traveller? hughie won the world heavy weight amateurs at 18 yrs old on foreign soil not some second rate olympics on a dodgy decision in his own back yard .wha

  15. Yep...100% agree about backing British Boxers...only thing that takes the shine off him as a British boxer for me...is that dirty big Africa Tattoo he has...just comes across as a slap in the face for a country that has given him everything...and whos flag he won Olympic honours under... but i can over look that for a British Fighter...just like i can over look tyson Furys mouth/singing ect ect...and you didnt drag Mike Tyson into the thread to compare his boxing skills
  16. Dont think Joshua has as much hype around him as other Olympic gold winners...hes a decent prospect...but early days yet...think they are bringing the lad along just right up to now...but makes me laugh how mike tyson gets dragged into every conversation about heavyweight boxing...all said and done...for all his flaws and faults...you dont get to be the youngest heavyweight champion of the world...in any era...by hype alone
  17. Entertaining scrap...a slug fest in a phone box....those that said Burns is washed up...got it wrong...
  18. Many years back 2 males in the same litter (inbred motherXson) where born with one ball descended...one went on to sire a couple of litters...and didnt pass on the trait...if the dog has proved itself worth breeding....and thats what you want...do it...as long as your willing to clear up your own crap behind yourself
  19. Khan simply dont want to fight Brook...he just wants a nice pension losing to Mayweather
  20. what next??...i think it will be Mayweather v Thurman in Sept...Brook v Pacquiao late this or early next year...Bob Arum said they offerd Khan a fight with Pacquiao and he didnt want to know...he was also offered Brook at wembley and sneered at the offer...hope he ends up with f**k all!
  21. Bestest ever?...Mayweathers a slick top class operator for sure...but he aint no Sugar ray Robinson
  22. Most definately................dont you ? While im very excited about the little Hammerette ........he,ll be domestic/european level at best in my opinion i think world honours will be just beyond him talent wise but if he keeps his nut down and stays focussed/motivated who knows how far he can go. Early days...but know what your saying...just thought Lanesra might find the 3 rounds of Smiths last fight more entertaining than 12 rounds of lasts nights fight of the century...i know i did...but i was never much of a Mayweather fan or boxing connoisseur
  23. Check out a little rising star coming out of Harrow called Mitchell Smith...youtube his last fight with Antonio Horvatic...maybe it will restore you faith in boxing just a little bit
  24. I was thinking Mayweathers next/last fight would be a rematch with Pacquiao...dont know what the chances of that are after last night?...hardly a classic
