    Thanks, No to this date I have not produced any that were to big. They range anywhere from 13 lbs - 22 lbs all spanable . The larger ones are barely spanable but the smaller ones are easily spanable with fingers and thumbs overlapping. All hunt in the ground and in doser/tree piles. The bigger still fit in beaver dens along the creeks and in the tree piles, and of course the smaller ones fit everywhere except maybe a super small ground hog set.

    I consider them patts/fells but there is a little APBT in their pedigrees. My avatar (the same dog that is pictured with the little pup) is the sire to three terriers this thread, the black female is his, the red male tied to the fence next to the red bitch is his, and the little pup (which is also the young red male tethered with the black bitch only older) is his pup too.....My dogs are line bred for the most part so that APBT blood is in most of them.......Also the red female tied to the fence next to the red male (my buddies bitch unrelated to my line) also has some APBT blood in her close

    Thanks, I couldn't do it without my buds in that photo.... I could do with out the possums and skunks (skunks can kill your dogs underground with the spray) we also get the occasional groundhog. I wish we had more fox around and badger would be nice too. I've only see one of those in my life and it was dead on the side of a road......Yes coyotes will hunt and kill all foxes in their area and they will eat the foxes...Cheers and happy hunting to you !

    Thanks, the red dog is just a pup 9 months old...Yes mainly raccoons (biggest I've taken with a terrier is 30 lbs) we also get the occasional possum and skunks.....there are fox around to, but they are rare around here due to coyotes killing them...The pup is showing good signs so far and should be ready for next season....He is out of the male in my avatar(rip) and my buddies female (she is on the right in the picture where they tied to the barbwire fence)...Here is a picture of him with his sire last summer.

    Thanks, yes the weather has been really mild this year....It's 72 degrees out right now which is unheard of for this time of year.....

    That is used in the brush piles to pull the coons out if you are not able to reach them by hand.

    Just a couple of workers. The black female is the chocolate male's dam I made that breeding a few years back and it paid off.

    Got this mink out of a creek bank that had been thoroughly excavated by beaver. Took the red dog a minute to get it bottled up, but as always he did not dissapoint.

    Yep, all mine are spanable. The big guy is barely (18-20 lbs) and won't fit in most groundhog sets.....I'm central, 30 min. north of Springfield on I-55.

    We take a lot of coon from ground sets right here in Illinois.

    Put my male over my buddies female this year and got myself a nice little pup out of the breeding.

    Nice pup! Hope he turns out for you.. He is similar to my boys pup but yours looks to be a little stouter.

    Go2GroundThat is a fine Red dog,I believe the reddest I've seen,without being a chocolate.How Is he bred? Some real fine Terriers on this post,from the 1st chocolate pup and on.A fine dog Hack,but that seems to be common for you :-) uru URU Thanks...He has Gould, Nuttal, and a little APBT (5 gen back). He is a great dog always stays until dug, also an excellent locator. g2g

    This is my Red Dog. The black one is a daughter of the red. Both of them are good at their jobs.

    Well BUBBLEFLOAT have you ever tried to skin a COON while it is still alive ? It just doesnt seem right to me.
