  5. is the adjustable cheek piece and adjustable butt pad standard on the 98?
  6. Sorry mate after reading what i said it seems as if i was tryin to be negative, didnt mean that at all. Just saying spring guns can be just as fun to shoot, but i dont think i will ever be without my PCP as they are a great tool when it comes to hunting
  7. PCP's are great, but not the be all and end all of airgun shooting. Ive an S410, had the s200 before that, and also purchased a springer. Only been shooting targets with it so far but i find it much more fun to shoot with. But hey thats just me, everyone is different
  8. Cheers lads appreciated PS Davy Meteor is all packed up, will post when i get a chance
  9. Well, since I got an fitted a Rowan trigger for my Prosport and managed to adjust the trigger pretty well, I though I would adjust the trigger on my S410 as it did seem a bit too light, but after a few turns of the 2nd stage the gun would no longer cock I then took the trigger guard off so it was a bit easier to access but never realised the spring would fall out, so i put the spring back and re fitted the trigger gaurd. After some trial and error of adjusting the 1st n 2nd stage triggers, the gun still wont cock So can anyone give me any advice on what to do? I think it must b

  11. Hope Tony's okay. Great guy and always has time to help you out. Never met him but hes done me a few favours on here, and always answered any questions ive pestered him with. One of the good guys
  12. I would bet 90% of this forum dont have there own shoot and wont even attempt to get there own as they can go leach there mates. Dont waste your time posting on forums asking for permission, all you get is insult by people who aint even got there own. If you were near me I would take you out mate, hey if it gets real hard just remember (you dont always need permission, just be vigilante and carefull ;-) ) so 30 posts under your belt, and your already talking crap, lots of members here take others out, be it air rifles, shotguns, rimfire, even ferreting, maybe once you have been a mem
  13. Im starting to think the same way mate Although there's no denying pcp's are excellent and a major tool when it comes to hunting, but springers are just more fun to shoot. Since I got my Prosport I've enjoyed shooting it more than my S410. Although to be honest I've not been out hunting much recently so most of my shooting has been on metal targets and paper, but it is more fun to plink away in the back garden with a springer, and I do seem to be getting better at it. If I was to go hunting justnow though, I would defo take the S410 just becuase I can shoot out to further distances w
  14. Everyones different mate, people say start off with a good springer (TX200 HW model etc) to hone your shooting skills, as it is a lot tougher to shoot a springer than a PCP. PCP aren't more accurate than springers, its just easier to be accurate with a PCP, if you know what i mean. It will be very hard to pick up a PCP, pump and scope for your budget. I would suggest something like an Air Arms TX200, HW95 or HW97 (any HW really), calibre is up to you. I started off with a BSA Lightning XL, then went to an Air Arms S200, then Air Arms S410(which i still have), but also bought an Air A
  15. hi john i will take the challenge john let me know what i owe you buddy via PM,a nice winter project i done one of these last year, and it has already counted for a few rats at this rate i will have to change my sig lol regards davy got a bit of a situation here lads lol so whos taking it? i'll leave it down to the two of you to decide lol
  16. Nice one Davy. I found an old BSA Meteor when helping my dad clear the loft on Monday. Think it belonged to the previous owner of the house. We've been in this house about 19 years so looks like its been in that loft longer than that. Had a look at BSAOG, looks like it was manufactured sometime from 74-78, but its in a VERY bad way. Barrel is stuck shut, just wont break open, trigger looks like its not working, and cant seem to get one of the stock screws out to remove the action. Fancy a challenge buddy? You pay postage and its yours. John
  17. defo a good price mate. if you fancy it go for it. i dont imagine you would lose much, if any, if you were to re sell it later on. what scope is with it?
