So, I decided to go out early this morning for a while. I had set my alarm for 3 but didnt realise the mornings weren't getting light till later since the last time i was out. So ended up staying in bed till half 4. Zeroed the gun in the garden and off i went to the permission. This permission is sort of 3 permissions in 1. 1 part someones back garden, the other is some woods jointly owned by two houses, and the other is a field on the other side of the woods owned by someone else. I decided to spend most of the morning in the garden. Driving up the road to where i park my car i se

Cheers guys. Got home today and opened my LRF. And the idiots at JSR put the wrong feckin battery in it so my planned afternoon of testing it in the back garden was scuppered!!

Well, not posted on here in a while. Not long back from holiday and was dying to go out. So me Scott went to the permission on Tuesday night. Didnt get anything but never left empty handed. Theres a field next to the woods thats always jumping with bunnies, and we seen the owner doing some work in it so asked it he would mind us shooting in it, and he said it was fine. So we went back up tonight and when we passed the field there must have been at least 25 rabbits along the tree line, result. So we got set up in the field, Scott in the middle and me at the bottom corner, both ab

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll take them all on board. I like the rake and strimmer ideas, defo worth thinking about. I have sum decoys so i will stick them in the boot of the car and give them a go aswell. Yeh Phantom i know what you meen, 2 maggies started going nuts when i got there and it was a while til they were gone. Fid you put a curse on these turret covers before you sent them to me lol framer, fair enough. Im sure once the scope comes you will make up for it. The thing that really got me was the 2 miss's, i would have rathered they shots never presented themselves

Just back in from a couple of hours at the garden/woods permission, and came back with zero Ive been out 3 times in the last 2 weeks, and each time came back with nothing. First time Scott got 3 so i wasnt caring i got nothing. 2nd time was last Saturday morning in the back garden. Got there at about half 4 and decided just to spend the morning laid up in the garden. The rabbits are coming from a neighbouring field into the garden and wrecking it, but that morning no rabbits decided to turn up so that cant be helped. The most frustrating one was this morning. Got there at about

Nice guns shay. I was in a shop today and had a look at both guns, very nice. John -
Cheers lads. Rossy, yeh defo gettin a range finder at some point. Most of my shooting is static so would b good to range different areas so i know hold over/under when rabbits pop up in different places. Shay, yeh not a bad bag, not the biggest but its my biggest so far, and potential for bigger bags in the future. Me and scotty will be hittin the bunnies hard in the future once hes got the silencer. I didnt think it was a good idea to use the ultra this morning without it as i was ther very early and was shooting right outiside the house so didnt want to make too much noise John

Cheers phantom. Haha good point, that would not have been good. Did you get the pm i sent you the other night?

Well i decided to get up at early today and go back to the garden permission i was at last week for a few hours or so. So i got up at 3.45 and was there for 4.20. Parked the car where i normally do and walked round to his garden. When i got there there was 3 rabbits on the far side of the garden, but they done the off sharpish. So i decided to set up within range of where i seen them and wait. This is where i was shooting from, shit pic as it was taken on an iphone I had been waiting for about half an hour or so when i seen a pair of ears on the far side of the driveway.

Lol thats a result!! Em its a Nikko Stirling 3-9x40 Mountmaster AO i believe. Its not a big deal if i cant find anyway. Im hoping to get a new scope in the near future and this one will just be going into the cupboard as a spare. I had a very brief look on the net there but never seen much, its prob a case of going back to the manufacturer. Cheers, John

Cheers mate, unfortunate about the others that got away, but i'll be back Cheers Phantom. Yeah i know about the covers, i was zeroing at a farm permission one day and forgot to put them back on next time i was there i couldnt find them, what an idiot. Do you think they can be bought separately? I always check my zero before i go out and take a few laminated targets and stick them to trees while im out to double check anyway. Cheers for the SP. John
