  1. decent bitch that with plenty of brain. i enjoyed watching that clip shes deffinatly dvd material.
  2. how long you going out for each night? and what X is your dog? 3-4 hours average but i do have longer nights. shes 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy which suits the ground im running but looking at her behaviour she dosnt loose her drive shes just not at the constant quick pace she was? nothing to worrie about heavily worked dogs dont look over impresive especially on the rabbits mate, like you said they lose there quick pace and tend to catch most of there quarry on the hedge. what you should find is as she has steadied up her running style will chance a bit, and what she lacks in her normal pace
  3. i am out tonight. went out last night on some new ground it was over run with rabbits but feck me they was lamp shy, somebody has done a good job of scaring the little feckers. just hope theres plenty of cloud about as the moons still up a bit to much.
  4. have you tried starving her before you take her out, sounds a bit cruel but give her a few runs she should hold on to the rabbit out of sheer hunger could be worth a try.atb trigger had to starve a dog of mine once to get him to catch a certain quarry once i got him started he was fine afterwards.

  10. a bullx that some one has put a name on. no more no less. bull crosses
  11. they cant be anything special if they are bull crosses. what do they do thats so good?
  12. if i was to buy one i would try and get a pup out of a beddy bitch rather than a whippet bitch they appear to be a bit better built imo.
  13. atb with your new pup when you get it. just to be on the safe side as its your first pup i would get its jabs done at the vets you know that it should be o.k then.
  14. i lamp in fields with hosres in never had any problems but i do keep a close eye on them.
  15. can be excellent dogs mate, the only real problems with some of them is when worked hard some have a tendancy to stalk there quarry in the beem, pic and choose there runs alot which is not always a bad thing and you find that there are a few out there that are not over blessed with bottle. but as i have said alot can and do make great dogs i would have a demenstration first if i was you. atb trigger
  16. theres folk i know who have always had decent dogs, there is folk i know who always seem to have below average dogs and never seem to do any better than average, i think the owner plays a part in bringing it out of the dog but the dog does the rest.
  17. if the stuff you are thinking of giving your dog does what you say it does i wouldnt give it to a unfit dog as it will most prabably do him more harm than good, a fit dog might be able to handle it but personally i wouldnt bother.
  18. i dont give my dog anything other than his normal diet. imo if you have a young dog and he has been brought up with the correct amount of excercise and training he shouldnt need anything as he should be able to handle the work load.
  19. you get my point though, i run my dog almost every night the week he has loads of work and has a result of that he is steady and knows what he is doing, i run him where i do because i am confident he knows what he is doing because hes done plenty. theres always a chance of accidents happening but thats life its no good assuming the worst all the time is it.
  20. if i thought about all the what ifs when working my dog i would never leave the house, better not run him on this stubble field he might cut his foot. or perhaps i better not let him run on this nice grass field its to wet he might slip over and hurt his self.
  21. i run my dogs on every field there is quarry in except hop fields i dont see the point in having a working dog and wraping it in cotton wool.
